This part is located in the back of the freezer and circulates air over the refrigerator coils. These coils will convert the heat into cool air, which is then circulated.
NOTE: This part may be different in color or appear different than the original, but will function the same as the original part.

Easy repair with straight forward repair
Fan was easy to swap out, and was able to attach the electrical wiring without needing to replace the existing slide on connectors. Old fan was making a terrible racket. The new fan is very quiet and my ears are loving it!

Order took too long to be delivered
I ordered the part back in March 4th. After 1 week of not receiving any feedback I called your customer service line. I was informed that it was on backorder and that was going to be shipped the following week on Thursday or Friday. I waited until the next Friday and because I did not received any feedback, I called back to check if at least you already had received it. I was told one more time that it was still on back order and that could possibly be available for shipping the next week on Monday.I waited until the following week and called back on Tuesday. On my 3rd attempt, I talked to a different lady that in the beginning provided the same answer as the lady from the 2 previous calls. I had to share personal details about my life to make your team understand how urgent was for me to get this part as soon as possible like been for almost 3 weeks without a refrigerator whith 4 kids at home. After that, the lady’s demeanor changed and I guess she felt my situation was not the best.Miraculously, she found the part available in another warehouse close by and I received the part the next day. I don’t have problems with the part, it works fine. But I am totally disappointed about the service and no one should be prompt to share personal details to push a company to provide a better service. If I would have known that your inventory management is so poor and takes too long to get a part I would have not bought it from you. In addition,I don’t be feel that I should recommend you to anybody because the time you take to fulfill and order is too long and under the circumstances, it makes me wonder if you had the part all the time and your processes are not established properly to send parts as soon as the customer needs them.

Fan not blowing
Unplug refrigerator, remove ice maker if you have one, all you need is a 1/4 " nut driver or socket. I used a 1/4" drive socket set with a1/4" socket. After the ice maker is out of the way, remove the panel on the back of the freezer to expose the fan. Remove the 2 screws holding the fan in place , and disconnect the wires that are plugged on to the connectors. Remove any ice that has built up around the condenser and install the new fan. Plug the refrigerator back in to insure the fan runs. If it works, unplug refrigerator again and install the panel over the fan, and install the ice maker again. Plug the refrigerator back in and put all your frozen food back in the freezer. That's it , Simple!!

Evaporator fan, growling. Worn bearing
Removed ice maker, then rear panel of freezer compartment. Removed old evaporator fan, cutting tie wraps as required.
Replace evaporator fan assy, paying attention to wire harness routing and secure harness with tie wraps. Reinstall rear panel of freezer compartment. Re-install icemaker.

My refrigerator stopped cooling, there is no air circulating from the vent at the top of the frig. At this same time the freezer has continued to work, keeping a temp of 4 to 8 below zero.I'm not sure which part will fix the problem. Thanks for your help...
For model number 596.70004000
Hello Kermit, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: damper control-which controls the amount of air going from the freezer to the fridge, the cold control thermostat, the evaporator fan motor (also check to make sure the evaporator coils are not frosted over) the defrost timer and defrost thermostat. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!
