The dryer doesn't put any heat out at all. Can you tell me which part is the thermostat or what else to check? Thanks
For model number GTD33EASK0WW
Hello Jarrett, Thank you for contacting us. Looking at your model information there are a few parts that you should take out and test to see which one is giving you the issue. The first parts to check in this case would be all of your thermostats and thermal fuses. You can test those parts with a multi meter and they should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine, you should then go on to testing your heating element as well. You can also test that with a multi meter and it should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

For model number GTD33eask0ww
Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Thermostats Part #: PS11759043, Part #: PS11772030 and Part #: PS12073908. If defective they can cause the breaker to trip, Hope this helps!

Hello my dryer still dries it still gets pretty hot but it takes a very long time for the clothes to dry even with a less amount of clothes can you tell me what part it could be
Hello Barbara, thank you for your inquiry. There are several reasons why the dryer is heating up, but still not drying clothes and it might take several hours to finally get them dry. The reasons are: clogged exhaust vent, faulty heating element, malfunctioned cycling thermostat or clogged lint trap. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

Have a GE dryer that stopped heating, is it a thermostat issue or is it the heating element (#512)? Everything else works, just blows cold air.
Thank You in advance
For model number GTD84ECPN0DG
Hello Jim, thank you for contacting us. Both parts can cause this issue. But the most likely culprit part is the thermostat, part number PS1766014. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
my dryer heating elements turns on for a couple of seconds turns right off, i expected the heater coil and it was a little bent but not enough to not work or operate what can be causing the issue of the coil not turning completely?
For model number GTX22EASK
Hello David, thank you for the question. According to our research, you may need to check the high limit thermostat, part number PS12073908. If it is faulty, then you may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
My dryer does not heat up fully. It was likely recently run with too many wet items. The back of the drum gets very hot so if it’s likely that that heating element is working, but the drum itself only get slightly hot, not nearly as hot as it used to enter the temperature needed to dry. Do you know which heating element is likely out? Or if it could be another issue?
For model number GFD45ESSMOWW
Hi B thank you for the question. We have researched and found that the most likely cause of this issue is a faulty blower wheel, part number PS9494510, which may need to be checked. The blower wheel works with the drive motor to draw air into the dryer drum. Clumps of lint, socks, and small articles of clothing can escape the lint filter and get caught in the blower wheel. In addition, the blower wheel sleeve can wear out, allowing the blower wheel to wobble on the motor shaft. If the blower wheel is obstructed or defective, it may take too long to dry clothes. We hope this information is useful!
The single wire on the right side of the heating element melted apart where it connects to the heater. Is it possible that the heating element could have a short in it that is causing this wire to melt? If now, what part could be causing this to happen?
For model number GTD42EASJ2WW
Hello David, thank you for the question. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the mica heater, part number PS8756702. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. We hope that helps!
