This part is the replacement console cover for your dishwasher. The console cover is a long piece of black plastic that fits over top of your dishwasher console. The console cover has text written on it that lets you know which buttons on your dishwasher control which settings. The main reason you would want to replace the console cover is if it is cracked, missing, or if the text has become illegible. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part.

This part is the right part but be warned,GE designed this in a way that REQUIRES you take the door apart. This isn’t hard just look for YouTube videos on it. It may look like you can put it on by clipping it in or sliding it on without taking door apart. That will not work, the clips will break, You have to take the door apart. I would rate the part one star for this design but that is not the fault of this web site. You won’t find a replacement ge cover that doesn’t require you take the door apart. YouTube is your friend.

I bought a console cover for a GE dishwasher and cannot figure out how to get it on. I have already broken 1 replacement part. I would rather not break this one.
