Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This igniter, also referred to as an igniter glow bar, is an authentic OEM replacement part designed for ranges. It is responsible for igniting the gas in the burner to produce a flame for cooking or baking. When you turn the knob on your gas range to activate the burner, a signal is sent to the igniter glow bar. The igniter starts to heat up rapidly and begins to glow. Once the igniter reaches a certain temperature, it triggers the gas valve to open, allowing gas to flow into the burner. When the hot igniter and gas meet, a flame is produced. Signs of a faulty igniter include failure to ignite, low or no glow, uneven cooking, and clicking or popping sounds during ignition.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Bottom oven will not heat either regular bake or convection, temp does not go above 100. Does this mean then igniter is bad?
For model number JGB860EEJ5ES
Hello Wendy, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Igniter. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

my upper oven does not heat to temperature. It heats but takes a long time to get to temperature
For model number JGBS86SP1SS
Hello Cindy, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the temperature sensor, part number PS11766869. It measures the oven temperature and sends the information to the control board. A faulty sensor provides inaccurate readings, and the control board may not send continuous power to the heating system, leading to inefficient and slow heating. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
How many ports are on the pigtail? I have a 2 port connection and everything I have ordered is a 3 port.
For model number JGBS86SP2SS
Hi Chris, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the igniter glow bar, part number PS11736297, you mentioned have 2 ports. We hope this information helps!
