This temperature sensor, also known as a thermistor, is compatible with various makes and types of appliances. This thermistor uses electrical currents to detect the interior temperature of the appliance it is in and by working with the control board, the board adjusts the level of cooling or heating through its heating or cooling element, depending on what is needed. If your appliance is being improperly heated or cooled, the temperature sensor may be to blame, and can be tested with a multimeter to check for continuity to see whether it is defective. Check your user manual for exact placement of this thermistor and any diagnostic information.

Part did not work , oven still not heating correctly
I emailed Parts Select and described what the issue was . They told me most likely it was the temperature sensor. I tested the ohms rating and the old one showed it was bad . I installed the one purchased from Parts Select and it didn't correct the problem. I emailed Parts Selet to ask what could be the problem . They said call the manufacture. They should have told me that when I asked the first time instead of just wanting to sell me the wrong or defective part . Read the fine print their 30 day no questions asked warranty does not include electrical parts . Thank You Parts Select

Would it cause the oven to read 100 degrees when you first turn it on and not to maintain the temp I set it on if it needs to be replaced?
For model number LG LRE30453SB/01
Hello Paula, thank you for the question. According to our research, the Temperature Sensor appears to be faulty, it measures and regulates the internal temperature of your oven cavity. We would recommend replacing it, the part number is PS11732697. If that does not help then the issue is likely to be with the Thermostat, part number PS3530468. If you require assistance placing an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Hello Harold, thank you for reaching out. This error code indicates that the oven has failed to exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit after five minutes of preheating. We would recommend you replace the relay control board, part number PS8751324, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Hello Pat, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the oven control board, part number PS16223045. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
My oven will start, ignite, and reach set point, say 350. The temp will start to drop so the oven again ignites but it will not maintain 350. The oven continues to heat but it will not maintain 350. the temp in the oven will continue to drop. You can shut the oven off, let it set and it will do the same as described above.

Hi Michael, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the display control board, part number PS16223754, to fix the issue. It monitors the temperature and controls the oven heat. We hope this solves your problem!
The oven doesn't reach the selected temperature. For example. I set it to 400 , it will go to 355 or 360 and stays there. Ig won't beep like usually when it reaches the selected temperature. Maybe the real temperature inside the oven is more. Who knows

The oven heats erratically, changes about 30 degrees either way. I get a dead short across the sensor pin slots. Manual says 1090 ohms plus/minus 10 %. Is the sensor bad and how is the oven working at all with the sensor way out?
For model number lre30453sb
Hello Joe, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the temperature sensor, part number PS11732697, to solve the problem. A faulty temperature sensor can send incorrect readings to the control board and the oven may start to heat erratically. We hope that helps!

What would be the cause for the igniter on the oven to come on but the oven don't light.
For model number LRG3095ST
Hello Bernard, Thank you for the question. This could be caused by a weak igniter. They can glow but not have enough ohms to open the valve. The igniter, there should be between 40 & 400 OHMS. We hope this helps!
Get code F11 on oven. Confirming that oven sensor needs replacement
Thank you
For model number LRG3091ST
Hello Lori, Thank you for your inquiry. This error code usually does indicate a failed oven sensor, but can also indicate a control board failure. You can test the sensor with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. The sensor should test between 1000-1100 ohms. If the sensor tests good for continuity, then the issue may be with the main control board or one of the power supply boards. You can check the boards for any visible damage or loose connections. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
