Oven wasn't heating properly for a few months and then stopped altogether
The hardest part was pulling the oven away from the wall. Two bolts hold the sensor in place and a clip connects the electronics. Replacing the old one was trivial.

Oven would not get up or stay up to selected temperature
Pull stove out to get behind it,unplug temperature probe plug. Remove temp probe from oven by removing the screw holding it in place on back of oven. Cut plug off temp probe unit leaving as much lead wire as possible on plug end. Strip wires on new probe and end of plug wires(one quarter inch). Then I used two small butt connectors to join the stripped wires, one for each pair of wires. Two small wire 'nuts' may also be used as the connections are outside the oven and not exposed to the heat of the oven while it is in operation. Hope this helps the inexperienced 'do it yourselfers'--:)

Range would not come on
Turned off power, took back off stove removed old probe.
I had to splice wires since new probe ends did not match up.
the instructions were to splice the wires. I had the breaker off for about 3 hours. this is not in the instructions, but being a widow, I had to ask a few people why it would not come on after I connected the wires.
After waiting, I turned the breaker on and my range came back on.

How to test probe
For model number 79095042503
PartSelect logo
Hi Cory,Thank you for the great question. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Oven keeps heating. Gives error f-10. Would this be a bad probe?
For model number FFEF3011LWA
PartSelect logo
Hi Kay, Thank you for the question. Yes the F-10 Error code indicates there is an issue with the temperature onside the oven.I suggest replacing the Probe or testing it. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Stove timer kept beeping gave error code f10 replaced probe in 2015 local electric company said i can use range top by igniting with a lighter. Do i need probe and ps1528268
For model number CRG3150LWE
PartSelect logo
Hello Taleathia, thank you for your question. A bad temperature sensor probe is one of the causes for an F10 error code. The temperature probe is supposed to detect the exact temperature in the range cavity and relay it to the oven's main control so it knows when to shut off the heating elements. I would suggest replacing the PROBE part number 316233903. I hope this helps!

My gas oven comes on (igniter should be good) usually comes up to temp correctly but lately, it looses heat and won't come back up to temp. I pulled the temp sensor out of the back of the stove and checked resistance. At room temperature, my meter showed .775 amps of resistance. Probably a bad temperature sensor, would you agree that this is the first part i should replace? Its two days before thanksgiving and if my wife cant bake...well you know what house i am going to be in...the dog house.
PartSelect logo
Hi Mike, thank you for your question. Your oven temperature sensor should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. So it does sound like it is your sensor that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My oven was on and i heard a pop and then it quit working. The electric burners on top of the stove work, the lights and clock work, but the oven and broiler do not.
For model number FEF365ASK
PartSelect logo
Hello Nancy, thank you for your question. The popping sound was probably a resistor, or capacitor on the Electronic Clock/Timer part number 316207510. You will want to replace this part. Please enter the part number into the site for current price and availability. Good luck with your repair!

Oven will not heat. Elements check good got a code f30?
For model number fef326fsb
PartSelect logo
Hello mike, Thank you for the question,. I first suggest testing the Sensor Probe, Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If the probe is good you may have a defective control board, Part Number: PS1528267. Hope this help!

Code f1 comes up. When i turn on oven it overheats and burns everything
For model number GLEF378AQC
PartSelect logo
Hi Midge, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My oven doesn’t come on right away. But after a while, if left on it eventually turns on and gets real hot. I’m assuming it’s my temp sensor. Could it be anything else?
For model number CRG4150LWE
PartSelect logo
Hello Renee, thank you for inquiring. It could be this Probe part number PS11731754 for your model causing the issue. You may also want to consider the Electronic Oven Clock/Timer part number PS1528268 for your model. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

My oven turns on and then after a while turns off
For model number FGFS36FWD

Hi Eusebio, Thank you for your inquiry. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the electronic oven clock/timer, the probe, the spark module, the clock overlay, the oven igniter, the oven light socket, the knobs and the safety valve. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
