The tub seal is manufactured to create a watertight seal between the tub and the inner spin basket. Your seal will wear over time causing the rubber to dry out and crack, breaking the seal in your washer. You may need to replace this part if you notice leaking in your appliance. This part is about 2.75 inches in diameter, is made of rubber, and is black in color.

My washer/dryer combo is leaking. Repairman looked at it and said the main bearing is rusted. Someone else said the main bearing affects the tub and i'd need a new tub installed. Is this True and what part would i purchase? Is it a difficult fix? Thank you.
For model number GTUP270EM1WW
Hello Angelica, thank you for your question. The bearing is part of the outer tub itself so you would have to replace the PartSelect Number PS10055836. Its not a difficult repair, but time consuming. It is also recommended you replace the tub seal PartSelect Number: PS11726907. The tub seal is manufactured to create a watertight seal between the tub and the inner spin basket. Your seal will wear over time causing the rubber to dry out and crack, breaking the seal in your washer. I hope this helps!

How can I take out the inner tub from the washer?
For model number GTUP270EM1WW
Hello Youngsook, Thank you for the question. To remove the inner tub, First remove the cover assembly. Next remove the agitator. You will then need to disconnect 4 dampening straps from the tub cover.Next lift the inner tub and pull each front suspension rod out of the slot.Hope this helps!

My washer makes a roaring noise while spinning and leaks while washing (agitating). Is it just the tub seal or do i need another part? Model number is gtup270em3ww. Thanks
For model number gtup270em3ww
Hello Cordale, thank you for your question. The tub seal should fix the leaking issue you're having, but i would suggest replacing the following two parts, as they can cause that loud noise when in the spin cycles. The parts are as follows: WASHER HUB Part Number: PS3501415 Hub Nut Part Number: PS3501416. Good luck with your repair!

What’s the correct tub seal and bearing #’s Thanks
For model number 2661532210
Hello Dennis, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect #: PS11726907 for the Tub Seal. The Bearing is only sold as part of the Outer Tub Assembly. We hope this helps!
My GE washer dryer combo was leaking so I purchased the tub seal. After some difficulty I got the tub nut off but the basket will not separate from the tub assembly. the shaft/inside of the basket looks a bit different from what i've seen on videos and I wonder if I am missing something. I could really use some help!
For model number GTUP270EM4WW
Hi Jason, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, before pulling up the basket check that you have removed the suspension straps of the basket. Use the 5/16th nut driver to remove the screws. Then, remove the basket cover and pull the basket out. Good luck with your repair!
