washer overflowing
Repair was easy enough by just unlocking the tab and twisting the switch out from under the control panel. For me though, this did not fix my overflowing issue. After more research I found the inlet valve needed to be cleaned out.
I respect that electrical parts are non-returnable as I am in the auto parts business.

washer would no longer fill to proper height--just low
removed top controls panel (not obvious),then released old switch by rotating 90 degrees (after disconnecting wires and pressure sensor tubing), then reinstalled new switch (new switch has only 3 positions, not 5 as old switch had) and reinstalled everything else.

A 'gotcha' is the plastic 'strap' on the back that anchors switch compartment to the back steel sheet. It is EASY to dislodge that plastic strap from the bakc panel and it drops down inside the panel--maybe to the floor, maybe not--requiring difficult retrieval. Suggest TAPING the plastic strap in place on the back steel sheet so it will not fall out.

How to test the water level switch?
For model number LSQ8543JQ0
PartSelect logo
Hello Bill, thank you for your question. You can check the pressure switch with an ohm meter. If the washer is empty you should read closed across pink and violet. If it is full, it should read closed from tan to violet. Hope this helps.

Hi Scott, Thank you for your question. According to your model number, this is the correct part for your machine, so this would be the one that you would need to order if you are looking to replace your water level switch. Good luck with your repair.

Does not fill to right level ,will wash, rinse and drain
For model number LSQ8243HQ0
PartSelect logo
Hi Joe, Thank you for your inquiry. If your washer will not fill to the correct level, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the water level switch, the lid switch, the water temperature switch, the cycle selector switch, the main drive motor switch, the lid strike and the connector. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

After the washer fills and the agitator goes thru the cycle nothing else happens. This is on normal and permanent setting. Please advise what part needs to be replaced. Thank you for your assistance
For model number LSQ8543JQ1
PartSelect logo
Hello Greg, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Lid Switch, PartSelect Number: PS11722098. The pin on the lid pushes on the lever of the lid switch to tell the washing machine that the lid is closed, which allows the wash cycle to begin. The washer will not spin if the machine senses the lid is open. Hope this helps!

Hello, my washing machine fills up, but it does not drain.
For model number LSQ7030LQ0
PartSelect logo
Hi Daniel, thank you for the question. We would suggest checking the drain hose for clogging first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the drain pump, part number PS11741239. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
