Dryer would tumble but not heat.
Used an inexpensive multi-meter to detect that there was no continuity through thermal cut-off (high end) or disposable thermal fuse. I identified these parts by reading your online schematic of the dryer. I noted that the flexible ducting had been crushed on the dryer which lead to the feasibility that the thermal cut offs, especially the thermal fuse could have burnt out. Ordered the parts on Monday, drying clothes again on Wednesday.

The washing machine know brokw
While my friends were visiting, they broke the knob off my washer. Now I am no good at repairs of any type, so my initial reaction was to get a new washer. Instead I went on the website and found a new knob. The website made it easy to match model numbers and get the exact knob. I got it in the mail ASAP and I just pushed it on. This may not sound like an impressive repair story but trust me, it was a lot for me. I saved myself $400.

Hello Sal, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: drain pump, drain hose, lid switch, timer, and the lid strike. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

My washing machine got stuck on the spin cycle. I was able to pull the knob up to shut it off but the knob sounds funny now when I turn it. It doesn't make the usual clicking type noise as before. I can still put it on a setting and pull up to turn on but I'm afraid to start a load as I don't know if it will shut off after the cycle. Any ideas on what it could be?
For model number LSQ8000LQ3

Hello Jennifer, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the Washer Timer, PartSelect Number PS11742072. The timer controls most of the operations of the washer: water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences and it is the part that makes the click when the knob is turned. Hope this helps!

Washer runs ok until drain cycle on rinse cycle. The timer stops. It will run from then on if you open the control panel. Shut the panel and timer stops. Do i need a total new timer or is there a problem with one of the switches. The door safety switch has been replaced.
For model number GSL9365EQ2

Hello George and thanks for writing. As you already replaced the door switch the problem is most likely your timer. It could be a problem within your control panel however if it is, that part you have been discontinued for your model and is no longer available. We have no known replacement information in our system. If you believe it is your control panel rather then the timer then you would have to contact the manufacturer directly to find out if they do have a suitable replacement part. Whirlpool US 866-698-2538 We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Have the almond washer and the control knob comes off easily. It shows part #44 as the part. But parts gives 2 under #44. I figured the color was the difference ? But the question is after i selected. It says something below pertaining to less than 15 min installation. It should take 2 seconds. The timer works fine, the knob rounded itself off inside aparently and wondering what part i need and how much to ship a single knob ?

My washer fills and starts the wash cycle but stops advancing during the casual (permanent press) cycle when it reaches the pause/cool down portion. I was thinking it might be the timer but then saw other parts that might also be the issue. Thank you!
For model number LSR8444LQ0

Hello Jenny, thank you for writing. This is likely due to either a faulty Lid Switch, part number PS11722098 for your model, or the Timer. Unfortunately the Timer for your model is discontinued. We have no replacement information for it. You will need to reach out to Whirlpool directly for a substitution part number if it needs to be replaced. Please feel free to get back in touch with us to place an order. Thank you!

Knob keeps popping off main control shaft when starting load of wash . Does the shaft wear out or knob wear out ? Wanting to be sure to order correct part. Thanks
For model number LSQ9549LW2

Hello Dan, thank you for getting in touch. We would recommend examining both the parts clearly. If the knob stem is broken, or the insert inside the knob is missing, then you may need to replace the timer knob, part number PS11746218. If the knob seems fine, examine the shaft of the timer for any type of damages. If it is broken, you may need to replace the timer, part number PS11742046, to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
