Will this assembly work to dispense and crush ice in my Whirlpool fridge?

Thanks for your question. The ice bucket for your model is part number PS11739219 and the auger for your model is part number PS3500972. They are used to dispense and crush the ice. They do not come as an assembly for your model.

Thanks for your question. This type of situation usually arises from a broken crusher cover (part number PS964165) or the auger (part number PS964350). The bucket itself on its own is part number PS300044. If you prefer the entire thing pre-assembled, try part number PS11701246.

Hello Bob, thank you for your question. The adjustment arm isn't available separately from the icemaker. If it has broken off, the icemaker would have to be replaced. There is a link on our site on how to install the icemaker. I hope this helps!

auger was not working
This happened once before. The plastic auger broke. I had a local repair store order the auger and then install it into the bucket. The cost was much more than I paid PartSelect for the entire assembly. What could be easier--pop the old one out and put in the new--for a cheaper price.

Ice auger was broke and ice was freezing in the recess door
all parts worked and were easy to install. probably saved me from having to buy a new fridge. ice maker is working fine and recess door flap is closing correctly. very satisfied.
Auger broken, and clear plastic piece at exit of bucket broken.
Pulled old assembly out, emptied ice, installed new assembly, filled with the ice already made. Less than 1 minute. Worked like new for a week. Now, auger won't turn. Have no idea what the problem is, but I'm assuming it's the motor that turns the ice bucket auger, because the auger turns by hand. The bucket ass'y. was in need of replacement, but now I'm wondering if it was worth the money because of this new problem.

Hello,
Thank you for your review. If you are switching from crushed to cubed ice, it is normal to get a small amount of crushed ice at first. When you switch to cubed ice, a lever behind the ice bucket opens a flap to allow cubed ice to be dispensed. If an ice cube gets caught behind the ice bucket, it can prevent the lever from working. You will need to remove the ice bucket and remove any ice that may have fallen behind it. If there are no ice cubes behind the bucket, try dispensing ice with the bucket removed. Shut the refrigerator door and press the ice dispenser. You are doing this to see if you hear a loud snapping noise. If there is no snapping noise, service will be needed. If you hear a snapping noise, reinsert the bucket and try cubed ice again. If cubed ice is not dispensed, then check the ice bucket to see if the ice in it has frozen together. If it has frozen together, dump it out and clean the bucket. Reinsert the bucket and try the dispenser again. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
