Washer overfilled without shutting off
The actual problem after getting into it was my pressure sensor line that comes off the wash tube was clogged with soap and dirt from years of use. I changed the listed parts as a precaution but make sure you check the line where it meets up at the washer tub not at the switch side. The front of the washer pulls off

Water would not shut off
This site is amazing. I entered my model# and described the issue and they identified the part. I watched the repair video once and made the repair in the same time as the video. One caution. Make sure you keep track of which wires came from which connection. Not a big issue but you don't want to get them switched.

Continuous water running during spin and rinse cycle
Turned off the water and disconnected the water lines. Took of the control panal, only 4 screws and got access to the dual inlet water valve. Device removes with 2 screws and power connectors slide off. Reverse removal and your in business. So easy to do, part was an exact fit. Don't buy a new washer, fix your old one!

The cold water wouldn't shut off causing the washer to overflow
I removed the supply hoses, removed the screws holding the sheet metal control console in place exposing the dual water inlet valve. Removed the two screws holding the valve in place, removed each wire from the old valve attaching it to the matching connector blade on the new valve. GE washing machine mode wprb8050. Need to replace dual water value inlet. The picture shows the wire connections pointing to the the left and to the top (west/north), but my value has the connections pointing to the left and right (east/west). Do you have this part with the connections pointing east and west

Cold water only fills if i relieve the pressure by shutting off the cold water and turning it back on. May have to repeat several times to get full water flow. Happens sometimes at start and most of the time at rinse cycle. What part should i replace. Dribble fills if left unattended. (i have checked the white cap filters and they are clean)

Can you tell me which contact on the washer goes to hot water side of the valve? I may have switched them. One contact is clear plastic and has two purple wires. The other contact is red and has a pink wire and a white/pink wire. Thanks

I have cold water, but no hot water coming into the machine. I have checked and the water is getting to the machine, but not in. From looking here, it seems that i need to replace the water inlet valve, but if it needs replacing, should both hot and cold water not be working or can only one side of the valve stop working? Hello Thomas, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the appliance is in Flood Mode. You can try to unplug the appliance for a few mins and plug it back in, Give it at least 20 minutes and the washer should stop draining and exit flood mode on it's own. We hope this helps!
