REPAIRED WASHER DOOR
Some plastic portions of the front door broke in the hinge area and the door started sagging.
This new outer panel was perfect, exact to measurement replacement and went together in just minutes. Have to say the video was the total answer to re-assemble after the new part arrived. Getting parts in the right order can be tricky but the video solved that. Good job. Works great now, thanks for having this fine site.

Exact match but needed to replace both panels
This is an easy repair but I had to find the inner panel to replace as well in order to stop the door from sagging. The plastic around the hinge area needs to be solid vs fins.

Door was sagging so strike would not line up upon closing the door.
This part did not fully solve the problem because both halves of the door need to be replaced and the other half is neither included in this purchase or available on this web site that I can see. The door panel is thin plastic and the problem will reoccur. Removed door by removing the metal hinge screws, disassembled door, installed new p

Striker broke while closing door due to misalignment from sloppy hinge.
Disassembled the door panel(7screws).Replaced the outer door panel keeping the existing hinge bushings in proper alignment (requires two people because of the weight of the glass door bubble). You could remove the entire door by removing the metal hinge, however, these screws would not come out for me. Replaced the striker by removing two

The door drops down when I open it and when I close it I have to lift the door up
For model number Aft6000fs2
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Door Hinge with Bushings.
Hope this helps!
After replacing the door strike and breaking it after two uses, i discovered that the outer door panel has a crack near the hinge. So before i replace another door strike, i'm wondering if i need to replace the hinge and the outer door panel, as well as a new strike? My thanks in advance for your time.
For model number FAFW3801LW5
Hello and thank you for writing.
I would want to say, that you might get away with only changing the strike and the outer door panel, but as it is hard to say if the crack in the panel could have been caused by a defective hinge. So if you want to go safe we would suggest replacing all 3 parts at the same time or you could really closely examine the hinge PS1152380 and see if there is any damage, but if you miss a crack or something then you will start replacing part again that you already replaced. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Door is cracking on the outside near hinges. Also cracking on the inside in the space in the hinge area. Have to lift it up slightly to close. Feels like the door will fall off soon.
