What size is the grease filter that is supposed to fit my microwave?

Hi Nancy, thank you for your question. According to the model number you provided, this part you are questioning on is the correct grease filter for that model. Unfortunately the manufacturer has not provided exact specifications for this part. However we do have the part photographed on a 1 inch grid background. This part is approximately 7.5" x 5". I need grease filter for GE over the range microwave, that i bought 3 years ago. Lowes and GE have not been able to help me. It measures 8 x 5 and i need two filters. They say no such model number. The number on the door is jvm3160rf2ss. Can you help me

I am ordering the grease filter and the charcoal filter for the model above. There are installation instructions for the charcoal filter posted but not for the grease filter. Can you please provide the installation instructions for the grease filter?

Hi Tracy, Thank you for the question. The Grease Filters are located on the underside of the microwave and you just slide them into the frame. Good luck with the repair!

I have replaced the grease filters but cannot get the red blinking reset light to turn off, even though i have pressed the button down for 3 seconds. What else should i do?

Thank you for your question. If the filter light remains on after reset, try resetting the microwave by unplugging or by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. Hello, last night my microwave fan and light started running non stop when the microwave is closed. I either have to unplug it or leave the door open for the fan to not be on. Is there a reason for this? Something i need to replace or am missing? Thank you in advance!

Hello,
The exhaust fan thermostat is usually what needs replacing. When it senses heat it turns on the exhaust fan. If you are using the cooktop, it can sense the heat and the fan won't turn off until the thermostat cools.
