One of the igniters stays clicking when using that burner. Not sure if i should replace the top electrode, or the spark switch assembly.
For model number JGB605DET3BB
Hello Sam, thank you for your question. The issue would most likely be either the spark switch assembly or the spark electrode. Because the burner is making the clicking sound when its not in use, that is a good indicator that the spark switch assembly is bad. We would recommend replacing that first. I hope this helps!

Is this the part for the right front burner? Also what is the best way to remove the old one? I have tried to pry it out using a small flat screwdriver, but it will not come out.

Electro spark igniter will not stop sparking. Usually if it gets if it gets wet it will spark for a day even when i dry it off but this time. But this time it will not stop. I have tried cleaning it off with acetone drying it but it still sparks. How can i fix this problem?
For model number JGP945BEKBB
Hi Frank,
Thank you for your question. In cases like this it is best to check your electrode itself, the igniter switch, and the spark module. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My front left burner would not light. I could hear a clicking and see a spark but it would not light. So I exchanged my back electrode top, which worked and placed it on the front burner, but my burner still did not work. What do you think is the problem? I checked the metal burner cover to make sure there weren't any clogs keeping the gas from meeting with the spark and I did not notice any.

How do you change electrodes on this cooktop do you have a video
For model number jgp945 wek 1ww
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. First, remove all the burner grates and caps from the cooktop. Then remove the mounting screws securing all of the burner bases. Then insert a putty knife under the sides of the main top to release the spring clips. Lift the cooktop up and support it with a sturdy object. Use a 16mm open ended wrench to remove the orifice holder you wish to replace. Remove the mounting screw to release the old electrode and disconnect the wire. Attach the new electrode to the wire and secure it with the screw. Follow the steps in reverse to finish. Restore power to the stove and everything should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is this part the replacement for the front right electrode? Mine broke when the 20,000 btu burner "legs" warped inwards (due to heat, i'm assuming) and making it very difficult to lift of the stove top. I had to pry it out and as a result snapped the electrode. It still receives a spark when "pushed down", but then you either get burned or shocked! ;-)

I have a model GE cafe cgs980sem6ss and one of the burners intermittently fails to spark. Is it a problem with spark module (part 110) or just electrode (part 450 for all 4 burners?) or is it something else completely. Once turned on, the front right burner starts instantly and stably, but when it cools we get into same cycle again. Gas supply is fine (i can hear and smell it), cleaned all electrodes and burners. What about wires? If it's an issue with spark module, does it come with all wires ? Thank you.
For model number CGS980SEM6SS
Hi Shimon, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts to check in this case. First you should check your burner electrode. Then you should take a look at your igniter switches/harness. If those parts are fine then you may have to look into your spark module being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

First grill igniter would not shut off
Now only glows when turned to Max and ignites burner for only a short time. Then both igniter and burner shut off
For model number Zgu364nd
Hello Norm, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: spark module, and igniter glowbar. Since there are different part numbers depending on the version of your model, we would need your full model number to provide additional repair information. The model number you provided should have a number from 1 to 8 followed by a SS. Hope this helps.

Repair is easy. The keeper ring installation while holding the spring down was tricky. An extra set of hands is helpful in holding and replacing the keeper ring.

The electrode had broke
I unscrewed the base where the electrode was attached to detached the electrode detached the wire to the electrode inserted new electrode with holding spring and clamp attached wire to electrode. I then put the base back on top and screwed in the two screws assembled the remaining parts and turned on the stove unit and it worked I am very happy.
