What is purpose of timer light. I changed the filter but it remains blinking.

Hello Wayne, thank you for contacting us. After new batteries are installed or filter is changed, push and hold the blue timer reset button (hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds). Release the reset button after the light stops flashing. The timer has been reset. The light will flash again in 90 days to remind you that it is time to change the filter. Hope this helps!
