Easy add-on to existing non-icemaker equipped refrigerator
Purchased as a gift for our parents. Parts kit was complete (except for waterline from sink, as expected). Installation was fairly straightforward, although the refrigerator did not indicate which fill tube was required, so discerning that took an inordinate amount of time. A call to your customer service didn't give us a definitive answer, but we were given a number of 'YouTube' videos to reference, which were most helpful - kudos to your support staff there!
After installing and double-checking for water leaks (one minor, and not related to the kit), the new icemaker made its first 'batch' of ice cubes within two hours.
Very pleased with speedy delivery; completeness of parts kit, and (despite a couple of challenges), the ease of installation. Would definitely recommend!
As an aside, my personal freezer no longer has interior lights; I will definitely use PartSelect for any replacement parts that might need as well!

Ice maker was not making ice
Unplugged the old ice maker. Removed the two screws that held it in. Removed the old ice maker and replaced it with the new one. Put back the two screws, plugged it back in and turned on the power switch. It started making and dropping ice in the first 1/2 hour.

Instructions did not cover all the parts in kit. The instructions did not cover the elbow in the back of the refg. or the filler tube. I was doing a replacment & it not address that.
I was doing a replacement so it was just a matter of removing old parts and replacingn them with new ones.
I disconnected the ice maker by backing out the two mounting screws and lifted the ice maker out of the freezer after unplugging the unit. The new unit was placed with a plug-in adapter and mounted on the original mounting screws. The intake water adapter was snapped into place and ice was available in approximately 2-3 hours.

By following the instructions in the manual that went with it, I used the parts in the order that the instructions said. The illustrations were very easy and now we dont have to use ice cube trays any longer. Unplugged the old ice maker, removed the two screws holding it in place and removed from freezer. Found the correct adapter cord that fit the plugin in my freezer. Started the two screws will hold the icemaker and then hang the icemaker and plug it in and finish tightning the screws.

Factory ice maker was running water out of the fridge onto the floor.
My wife and I decided to tackle this job on a Saturday. The fridge was due for a good cleaning anyway. We pulled it out and shut off the water to the ice maker. Note: be sure to check your connections for leaks before mounting the water valve - it is easier to see and fix them !!!! You can leave the water on at this point because the icemaker and water valve will not operate until the icemaker is plugged in. Next choose the right water fill cup, and install the ice maker to the existing screw mounts and plug in the connector. Note: be sure the ice maker is turned off. Start the fridge, let it get cold, then turn on the icemaker. Overall this is a great multi install package - Don't worry about extra parts because you will have some. If we would have just needed to do the icemaker and not clean the fridge, I could have done it in about an hour. Overall I would highly recommend this package vs what is available at other retailers for more money. Best Buy has a bargain replacement icemaker but does not have the versatility and completeness of this product. I give this product 5 stars.... dm

I removed the bin and dumped out all the ice then I took out the two screws holding the icemaker to the freezer wall. I then unplugged the icemaker. The on - off lever stopped working. The ice maker stopped producing ice at the same time.The lever moves freely as though it does not engage to turn on to produce ice. It is the same when put to the off position. What could it be?

Thank you for your question. It sounds like the mechanism in your ice maker that controls your shut off arm has broken. You may have to replace your entire ice maker to fix this issue. Good luck with your repair.

The hose freezes

Thank you for your question. If the hose is freezing, it is likely caused by ice backing up in the bin, or a refrigerator thermostat that is set too low. You can try defrosting the refrigerator or you can use a hair dryer on a low heat setting to try and defrost the hose. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Ice maker is making a higher than normal noise when cycling water, what maybe causing this. The ice maker is about 3 months old
