My Craftsman air compressor is probably 20 to 25 years old. In the last few years it had taken longer and longer to build up the air. I was thinking I would have to buy a new compressor. Older compressor runs but no longer builds pressure
After replacing the piston, cylinder sleeve and O-rings, the old compressor works like a champ. The hardest part was getting the nut loose holding the piston & bearing in place. Two socket wrenches and a big hammer was able to break the nut loose and get it off.
