A broken nut becomes loose during operation, disengaging the cutting blade. You may also notice that it is cracked, fractured, or its threads have been stripped. If a damaged nut is not replaced, you will experience uneven trimming. This also poses a safety concern as injuries may happen if the blade detaches during operation. To remove this nut from your machine, you need to immobilize the blade using a blade lock so it does not rotate. Using a wrench or a socket, loosen the nut by turning it counterclockwise.
