Oven wouldn't heat
1. First unplug the range from the 220 outlet!!

2. Next I used a nut driver to remove the 2 screws that attach the bake element to the rear of the inside of the oven.

3. Pull the element toward the front of the range until you can unconnect the electrical wires by gently pulling on the connectors that attach the wires to the baking element.

4. Connect the new baking element to the electrical wires and re-attach to the rear of the oven with the two screws removed in step 2.

5. Plug the range back into the 220 outlet and test the oven......

It doesn't get any easier than that!! And to think that I was considering calling a repair man......

Oven wouldn't heat
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. The two wires were held together with clamps. Use a small screwdriver to loosen the clamp and disconnect the wires. Then insert the new bake element. I now have an oven that works and didn't have to call a repair man!

The element caught on fire and continued to burn even though the power supply was disconnected
Pulled the old element unit out in pieces using a philips screw drive and disconnecting the electric wire connectors from the ends of the element.

When the new element arrived I pluddged in the connectors, re-inserted the wires into the backof the oven wall and inserted and tightened the screws.

I then plugged the power supply in and turned on the bake power control. The unit operated correctly.

The Oven would not heat at all.
After determining that the baking element was not working, I ordered a replacement. It arrived the next day and I drove to my mother in laws ( who owned the electric range). I used a flashlight to see what tools would be required. I used a nutdriver and a pair of needle nosed pliers. I unplugged the stove from the 220 volt receptacle and unscrewed the fasteners holding the element to the back of the stove. I used the pliers to gently pull the wire clip off the element stud and replaced the old element with the new one. I re-attached the wires and secured the element back with the fasteners. I plugged the stove back in, turned the oven on and problem solved. The element turned cherry red, and after closing the oven door, I set the temp to 250 degrees and after about 10 minutes, I opened the door, and the element had shut itself off after reaching the desired temperature.
It was so easy of a repair, that my wife could have done it with no problems and she is not a "repair" person.
Excellent product and excellent time on the shipping.
