missing screws for oven door
After searching on the internet for a very long time, we were almost ready to order the screws "blind" (no picture) from Sears for almost $10.oo per screw. Then I stumbled onto this website and found exactly what I was looking for, with a detailed description AND a picture!! Not to mention a price that was two thirds less than Sears..for TWO screws. Now the oven door is secure and we are no longer on our search for the right screws.

When opening the oven door, the hinge on the left of the door broke.
We panicked cause even simple repairs on these products cost and cost.....but we remained calm and ordered the exact part necessary from you. It arrived in just 3 days and once we had the part in hand it was easy to understand how to replace it. We disassembled the door with screwdrive and swapped the broken part with the new one. The one gotcha was that we were not aware of the shipping pin holding the spring and we struggled for a few trying to get the door closed all the way. Once we discovered the pin and removed it, it was fixed and we were PLEASED!

Thank you,
Louise and Rickl

Lightening blew out the digital clock works and therefore we couldn't use the self clean oven.
turned off electricity at the circuit breaker.Pulled stove out and looked at the way the control center was attached to the rest of the stove. Removed the knobs and 4 screws and the complete panel could be removed (or pulled out from the oven-wires are still all attached). Then checked with an electric meter to insure the power was off to all the wires. The clock is a self contained unit and all I had to do was to remove 4 screws holding a face plate, replace the unit and reverse the procedure. Only problem I had was getting the screws back into the face plate (I was only able to get 2 threaded-but that will hold for the life of the stove) and put it alll back together. It works wonderfully.

I had a repair company on the phone who said that the service call would be $185 and if I was right about the clock being the problem, that would cost another $345 for the clock and $85 for the return service call to install. I ordered the part from PartSelect .com on Sunday, had it by Thursday and installed that night. My cost was $195 vs approx $600. Why would you do anything else?

grill burner repaired
Shut down the power so I would not be surprised, removed the four front screws on panel. lifted burner knob panel to expose screws holding infinite switch and wires, easy replacement.
Even the size of the clips would not let you place them on the wrong prongs. plugged in new brurner and cooking steaks once again. Disapointed in visa's additional "International charge" of $2.83 and then $3.83 to purchase these items, but overall they were great people to deal with.

replce oven seal
take door off. remove screws holding door together, take door apart. remove worn seal. install new seal. reposition insulation and door window at the appropriate location. begin re-assembling door in reverse order making sure that apprpriate pressure is applied to keep the seal in place. re-attach door to hinges. project worked out well. new seal looks great. would have been a costly repair if I called a professional. I'm handy, but things like this are often hard the first time. you have to take your time and be cognizant of putting it back together the way you took it apart.

My oven would broil but not bake.
First, I made sure the circuit breaker was off to the oven. Next, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place , pulled the element out a few inches and eased the wires apart at the metal connectors. I eased in the new wires, put the two screws back in, and voila. In under five minutes, the oven was fixed.

Oven light stays on when door is shut.
I replaced the hinges as described in other posts and the problem was solved. When the oven was 2 years old it had the same problem but the hinges should not have fatigued at that point. The engineering problem someone mentioned is that the pin of the light switch is too short. I touched it with lipstick, closed the oven door, and opened the door to see exactly where the door touched the pin. I drilled a small hole in the door and screwed in a self tapping metal screw...problem solved for 8 years until the hinges fatigued. After replacing the hinges I tried removing the screw but the light stayed on so I put the screw back.

Oven door latch was bent and did not release or lock
Had to disassemble the top of the stove and the control panel on the front. I took digital pictures as I disassembled so I could refer to them when putting the stove back together, especially when disconnecting wiring. It took about 3 hours, but most of that time was spent thoroughly cleaning 16 years of baked on grease from places that are normally unaccessible. The new latch works great - the wife is happy!

Infinite switch malfuctioning and indicator light not working.
I changed out the infinite switch without any problems. The indicator light was another problem. It wasn't the light that was bad, it was the indicator light lens that snaps into the panel. The light then attaches to the lense. The lense broke and the indicator light pulled away with the tension on the wires. Now I have to order replacement lens and will have a spare indicator light.

Clock and timer unit not working after lighting storm
Removed 4 screws under the top unit that holds the stove control knobs. Open oven door for better view. Tilt whole unit (width of stove) up and out of top flange. Remove knobs for timer and the two control knobs (that operate the range burners) nearest the clock. Take out the screws by these knobs, 2 per knob and then you can get the frame that holds clock unit out. Make a drawing of wires to replace on timer unit or as I un plugged one I hooked it up to the new unit. Make sure you have turned off range at your fuse box before working on stove. Works good as new now, I assume it was hit by lighting that also made me replace our garage door opener.

The Old Hinges broke off and the door would not stay closed
I removed the single screw on each side of the oven by the hinge to remove the hinge cover plate and expose the hinge opening. I lifted off the glass oven door up and out and set it on my work bench. The door is heavy because its glass so make sure the doors on the way to the garage are open to your work bench area. I installed the cover plates back on so i would not loose the little covers and screws. I removed the screws all around the door and set them in a cup and lifted up the inner part of the door and the hinges are exposed. After removing the screws that hold on the hinges it lifted right out. I cleaned all the glass and set the new hinges in and locked them down with the screws and installed back the inner part of the door to the outer part and returned all the screws back. I then removed they screws on the hinge covers. I did not loose them with 4 kids running around and lifted the door back into the hinge openings and pushed down and it locked in. I then put a little pressure down on the door and removed the little locking pins. I pushed the door all the down and installed the hinge covers back on and it works beautiful. I think the new hinges are better than the set that came with the Jenn-Air wall oven. Thanks Parts Select. Also the new hinges came in 3 days as promised.

Oven door gasket frayed and worn allowing leakage.
Followed the instructions given by Paul from Mickleton, NJ. Very simple, no problem. Using two small blocks of wood to hold spring loaded hinges out while I replaced the door on the hinges was a big help. Thanks for the excellent delivery time. Great service.
