Flat Style Oven Igniter

The flat style oven igniter is also known as a range oven igniter. The function of this part is to glow extremely hot in order to ignite the gas for the oven burner. With this flat style oven igniter, you must reuse the original bracket from your original igniter. Be very careful during installation to not touch the black element part of the flat style oven igniter as it is very fragile. If your oven does not heat you should check to see if your igniter is glowing. If your igniter is glowing and the oven is not heating there is a chance that the igniter is not strong enough to heat your oven and it will need to be replaced.

Hinge Kit - Right Side

The hinge kit, or oven door hinge, is used in ranges and wall ovens. The hinge attaches to the right side of the door and controls how fast the door opens. At a specific angle, it allows the door to remain open. If you are having trouble opening and closing your door, or it does not close at all, replacing the hinge could solve your problem. The hinge is made from metal and the kit comes with the hardware needed for this installation. First we removed the oven doors. Then removed the shelf that separates the oven from the broiler, giving us more room to work. At first we thought we needed to loosen the screws around the bracket holding the ignitor, but we realized that the burner needed to be removed. Lifting the burner up from the front gave us the room to pull it gently from the back... read more
