Flat Style Oven Igniter

The flat style oven igniter is also known as a range oven igniter. The function of this part is to glow extremely hot in order to ignite the gas for the oven burner. With this flat style oven igniter, you must reuse the original bracket from your original igniter. Be very careful during installation to not touch the black element part of the flat style oven igniter as it is very fragile. If your oven does not heat you should check to see if your igniter is glowing. It pulls current from the ignition circuit; the more current it pulls, the warmer it gets. When the spark ignition module reaches a certain temperature, it creates a spark. This spark ignition module comes with the mounting bracket you will need to successfully install the part. Before installing your new part, ensure that the gas supply and power is disconnected from your range. This part cannot be repaired. If it is damaged or faulty, it must be replaced.
