hen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.

unlock filter with pliers with a turn to the right, pull out and replace filter, Turner new filter to the left until it click in.

lower ice maker water fill tube frozen... suspected that the fill tube heater went bad.
Interestingly, the few authorized samsung parts suppliers I found declared that this model did not have a lower icemaker, whereas this company actually had the specific part.
