Refrigerator and Freezer warming and cooling. Ice would melt and then refreeze. Freezer temp would warm to 25 then back to 0, refrig temp would warm to 50 then back to 34.
We first read that we should thoroughly clean the coils which we did. They were very dirty, full of dust. This seemed to help for a couple days then the hot and cold started up again and was even worse. We did some research on the internet and all indications led us to change the main control board. We found PartSelect ordered the part, received it super fast (within 2 days), changed the part in less than 15 mins and our refrigerator works like new. No trouble since the repair. Saved a lot of time and money doing the repair ourselves.

Freezer "flapper" would not shut causing condensation
I reviewed several You Tube repair videos. Not all of them were correct even though my model and brand were specifically mentioned in the videos. Use You Tube with a grain of salt. After sifting through the you tubes, I distilled the information by looking for consistencies. The most inconsistent information was on how to remove the plastic bezels. Once that was figured out, the repair was very easy. Upon removal, I inspected the solenoid. It was very rusted and was no longer capable of pulling the mechanism closed after it had (successfully) opened the flap. The new solenoid fixed the problem in a flash.

Ice maker auger broke
I ordered a replacement auger from PartsSelect. I disassembled the ice maker bucket and replaced the auger. The most difficult part was removing the plastic housing around the ice crusher. The parts snap together, so I used a couple of thin screwdriver blades to slip them apart. The repair required disassembling quite a few parts. I had to take careful note of the position of each part and the order in which each was removed.

Refrigerator not staying cold.
Remove items from Freezer, remove panel and defrost condensor coils (most time consuming part of the job). Defrost Heater is held in with two screws and two electrical connectors (remove by hand or with pliers). It's worth replacing the Defrost theromostat and Defrost heater at the same time. Only cost $60 for the two parts and will ensure you have the fix. Use the "outdoor" wire nuts when splicing in the Defrost thermostat, that will ensure you don't have any issues with moisture at the splice. When defrosting the condensor coils, soak up water as the catch tray won't hold the volume of water that will melt off the coils.

My fridge was colder than my freezer
I can't tell you how luck I feel after finding your website I ordered the temperature sensor after watching one of your videos on-line and the repair went just as on the video. I pulled the "bad" sensor out, and replaced it with the new one. Keep in mind that this is the first time I ever touch an appliance, needless to say I'm feeling pretty good about that! All in all it took me about 20 minutes to complete my repair and it now has been about 4 days and the refrigerator is working like new again!

Food in refrigerator freezes
Ordered part that website recommended. When I received part it was for a lefthand refrigerator, I have a righthand frig. I determined that it was the servo operated door that was broken and so I had to completely disassemble the part that I received, which meant removing the servo door off of the motor and installing it on the old servo door assembly. So make sure you order the correct directional part, which sometimes is not spelled out on website.

Fridge warm inside
My fridge starting getting warm inside so I took the back panel of the freezer off and seen the coils being completely frozen. I thawed it with hair dryer and took out both the heater element and thermostat off and performed an ohm test with multimeter. Heater seeme good with 23 ohm resistance but thermostat had no current flow through it. After replacing the thermostat the fridge works like new. I replaced the heater as well even though it seemed okay for peace of mind.

The Ice Dispenser Broke
I received the Part and took the Disassembled the Ice Auger which moves the ice to the crusher. I did not see the Email instructions until I tried to put the new part together and had not taken a picture of it before I Disassembled it. I found out the Ice crusher did not work so I tried to look for information on the Partselect.com web site. I finally went to the Store where I bought the refrigerator and they sent me to there warehouse where there were similar refrigerators. I took pictures and then after looking at the good unit I was able to put it together and it worked fine. I wish the Email would have notified me sooner and I would not have had so much difficulty. A picture is worth a thousand words.
