This was an added to make the pole saw longer, when needed. Hand tightening is all that's required; fits perfect, without any loss of power. Makes using the saw more difficult, but beats climbing trees, or using ladders.
it took you two and a half months to get my part to me. it took all of two minutes to install. wont order anything from you guys again. thanks for your inquiry.
