NAV2335AWW Amana Washer - Instructions

Easy fix. I pulled the washer out from the wall and leaned the top back to the wall. I then removed the belt from the bottom. I set the washer back on all fours and slide it around so I could get to the back water pump access panel. Using a nut driver, I removed the screws from the panel, then I removed the panel. I could now see the water pump. With a pair of pliers I removed the two hose clamps, and removed the end of the hose's from the pump. Then with a socket wrench I removed the three screws holding the pump down and removed the pump. In reverse order I put it back together. It works fine and saved me a lot of money from happened to buy a new washer. Thanks PartSelect.

remove the cable under the washer, open the back small opening/access panel, unplug two hoses, remove and replace the pump, put everything back including the cable under the washer. then test and it washes like new and quiet. Installation video is very helpful.

The repair went smoothly with no issues or problems. The video link sent with the receipt made all the difference in the world. I watched the video on my iPad as I was doing the repair. Also locating the parts I needed on the part select website could not have been simpler.

Ordered two new hinge pins as well as hinges. (Did not want to have to deal with it again so chose a full change out.) Watched a U-Tube video that described how to change out the hinges. The trick is find out how to lift the top panel on the washer to access the screws that anchor the hinges. Use a putty knife and slide it into the space between the top panel and the front panel. Got the job done today in an hour or so. Chose to also wipe out the top of the wash tub at the same time so it took a bit longer. Works fine now. Just like new.

Followed very detailed instructions posted on the website. Made a difficult job possible; without instructions would not have been to do repair. Thanks to those who posted step-by-step process. Suspension springs most difficult part of job, followed by C clamp. Lots of sharp edges to cut and scrape your arms and hands. After seeing how this machine is built, I am done with Maytag appliances.

Cause:The main problem was the snubber ring got destroyed from continuously overloading the washer. That lead to the unit becoming off balance which in turn broke the belt pully off of the water pump and wore out the tub springs. Solution: Procedure 1: Make sure to turn off the water going to the machine, unplug the hoses and the power cord and if you have room take it out away from the wall. even after it is drained there will still be some water in the unit so keep a good size towel on hand. The pump is the easiest part to replace; simply lay the machine forward so that you can get to the back panel and the bottom at the same time. Remove the panel and the pump is just inside. remove the belt from the bottom of the unit then remove the black hoses from the pump taking note how they are situated and the size difference. Remove the bolts that attach the pump to the housing then lift the pump out through the opening; unless you have purchased new bolts you are going to want the old ones for the reinstall since the new pump probably doesn't come with any. Also, the replacement pump may not have the same mounting bracket but it will mount just fine without it. now simply install your new pump in the same position as the old, secure it to the housing and reattach the belt. Procedure 2: Now for the springs; this is a little more difficult and it is going to take some muscle and patience. Do not remove all of the springs at once, trust me! lol! The easiest way to do this is to remove one spring at a time and replace it with a new one; just make sure to mark them as you go or at least remember where you started. Only a few of them are accessible from the panel in the rear but if you tilt the machine back upright the whole front of the machine can be removed very easily. First you must remove the top; to do this there are two brackets on the back at the top behind the instrument panel that can be removed with a Phillips head screw driver. after they are removed pry the front of the whole top panel up, there are only two brackets holding it down. Remove the two screws that you have uncovered at the front and remove the front panel by lifting up slightly and pulling forward. you can now get to the rest of the springs. Take note how everything was removed and reverse process to put it all back together. Thanks and goodluck!

lifted the front of the washer on a 45% angle,leaned it against the wall and gained access to the bottom and the belt,rolled the old belt off,it was very stretched came off easily,rolled the new one on and that was it.

The water pumps was was very easy to put it back in and I Save money And they have a video instruction to put it back in water pump This is a first time I repair something myself Everything was very helpful :)

Took of lid,took out screws,put on hinge and pins,simple job

The video is really helpful. The clamps on one of the hoses slowed me down. It took some contorting to get the clamps compressed and at the right angle to secure the hose. My lack of patience was probably the culprit. FYI: My failed pump made no grinding sounds. Nor was there any resistance when turning the pulley. But the problem was indeed the pump. Working well now.

All that had to be done was pull the washer out from the wall, tilt it back and roll the belt off one of the three pulleys and it fell right off of the other two. To install the new belt place it around two of the pulleys and roll it over the edge of the last one. Actually took 15 seconds to change it. Getting the washer out and ready took the most time. Now there is NO noises when it agitates or spins. LOVE IT!

I followed the online video on the Partselect website to replace the snubber ring on my Maytag Washing Machine. It was a very good video. The video had the same exact model even. The gentleman on the video was awesome! This is my second time using Partselect for a DIY job. I fixed my dryer a few years ago by watching one of your videos and purchasing your parts. I will never call a local repair company again. Half the time the don't even show up and then they charge you an exorbitant markup on the parts, not to mention the labor costs. Of course they never have the part in stock and they always have to order it. I did call around my hometown to different places that sell appliance parts... The all said they would have to order the snubber ring ... none had it in stock. So, I bought the parts from Partselect.com, had them shipped overnight and still saved a bunch of money. After I installed the parts, my machine runs perfectly! It has been about two weeks now and it has not been out of balance a single time.
