My Maytag bravos xl sounds like a freight train when it spins and it leaks a little water. What could be wrong?
For model number MVWB850YG0
PartSelect logo
Hello Bruce, thank you for your inquiry. A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Another reason it could be leaking is due to the main tub seal. If your washer is noisy, 90% of the time it is the basket hub. For your model MVWB850YG0, the correct replacement is part number PS11723155. I hope this information helps!

The washer was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle
Removed a cap in the center of the tub basket which has a bolt that needs removed I believe it's a 9/16 after I removed the bolt I then removed the center of the bottom of the basket assembly which then allowed me to get to the basket hub that needed replaced it was a little dirty and I couldn't get it out so I sprayed a little penitrating oil on it let it sit a little then I was able to remove the hub and install the new one then I put it all back together and the washer is working great

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
