Timer knob wouldn"t turn timer
I removed the six screws that held the control panel to the washing machine and then tried to unscrew the timer knob counter-clockwise to remove it,but it turned freely and wouldn"t unscrew as it should because it was broken inside. I laid the control panel down and used a hammer and a punch and with a few good taps on the metal shaft that was on the inside of the timer (hitting back towards the timer knob) it let go and then the knob turned off easily. I then slid the timer knob plate off the shaft. I removed the two 1/4" nut screws from the timer unit with a nut driver. Next I unplugged the electrical plug by lifting the tab on the top and pulled the connection apart. I put the new timer in with the two nut screwsand plugged in the electrical connection. I then slid on the timer knob plate and screwed the knob on. The control panel was put back on with the six screws and the machine worked perfect. Something that you must not forget......unplug all appliances before working on them.

Timer would not advance.
Took the plate off the back of the timer. Unscrewed two screws from the timer, then removed the plastic knob in front of the washer and removed the electrical plug from the timer. Then just reversed the process to install the new timer.

The timing knob had stripped on my washing machine
First we turned the power off the machine and it took a total of 10 mins to repair. My husband use the pliers to pull off the stripped worn knob and replace it with the new timing knob and now I am a Happy Girl! Thank you so much, this was the only place I could find the part. We will certainly use you in the future.

Timer went out.
Removed the cover on the washer controls. Loosed the knob and popped it off. Then disconnected the plug and replaced with the new part. Put th ekonb back on and closed it all up. It was pretty easy. Took longer to reomove all the screws than it did to remove and replace the part.

Two of the three wash cycles were not running properly
Diagnosing and ensuring that this was the problem took much longer than the actual repair. This was a simple repair, removal of six screws to access the timer assembly, two small bolts hold the assembly in place. Very easy to access and replace.

original knob cracked . not usable, will not turn timer plate guide
this replacement will fit in , but be gentle screwing in knob and do not tighten to let it seat all the way, otherwise it will be difficult to unscrew. tighten until it just snag and no more, plate guide will follow thru, by hand of course.
