Washer vibrating banging trying to self destruct when spinning.
The parts arrived quickly! Partselect is great to work with! Found the new shocks are different; evidently a design change bt Electrolux. The new shocks have free movement before dampening, approx 3/4". Bottom front cover removed, puch in the tab on side of pin then push the pin out. I had difficulty getting the pin to go back in through the new shock but it was ok after I pushed harder. I tried the washer and was very disappointed. Harsh banging when spinning. It was obvious to me that the original shocks had failed as a result of whatever was still wrong with the washer. A search on the internet and I found that the inner tub support structure that is on the back of the inner tub develops cracks and or breaks and then when it spins, lookout! It bangs so violently that I think the washer will beat you out the back door! I chose not to repair the washer due to age and cost of repair. A quick check to see if yours has that problem: look inside the washer and you will see three places on the rear wall of the inner drum( the part that spins). Grab the inside lip of the drum near the front door right in line with each of the three places and pull toward you. You should have no movement. Mine had movement on one out of three, indicating that the support was broken. Good luck.

Wouldn't drain completely and wouldn't final spin
before you buy any parts do this first..turn on your washing machine, then push and hold start and pause at the same time.An error code will come up,look in your book and see what that code represents. Mine came up 47.that error for my machine was the door switch.

Plastic outside handle broke
Took my husband less than 3 minutes to remove broken parts and install new handle. Wish the manufacturer made the originals out of metal. Your video made it embarrassingly easy for all who attempt this repair.

Front glass broke
The front loading washer door was wobbely so I took it apart as per wife request. Hinge looked fine, bushings were fine so I started to put it back together... then the glass slipped out and to the ground. Take the time to remove the door hinge and assemble on a flat surface, then place the whole assemble back on the washer machine. Don't try to take door apart while still attached to machine. Try it you will understand and then you will be buying a new glass front.

no final spin
removed top of washer then removed the screws that held the lock in place. only hard part was the lack of room to slide my hand down to get the lock from inside the washer, and put the new one in. managed to find a tech sheet in the washer to put the washer in a "service mode" that is where i could make the washer do a final spin.but it still gave me a code that the door lock was not working properly.(even though it still locked)replaced the lock with a new one and the code disappeared and did a full final spin.. thanks guys

The water would not drain or spin out all the way
Had to take the front and back panel off the washer. A couple of clamps and electrical plug in came off and then the motor. Put the new motor on plugged it back in and put on the clamps put the panels back on and was able to wash a load of clothes. It is now quiet and spins the clothes out as if it was brand new.
