Unscrewed one screw and replaced with new part.

Replace rotor brake & stator, bearings and shims. Followed bearing kit instructions. Works fine after repair. Saved $$$ and caught up on laundry!!!

i pulled the casing from machine....undid motor bracket bolts....disconnected electrical connector and removed motor w mounting bracket still attached. i switched out springs....very simple...returned motor back to machine and attached....then leaned washer back and put new belt on. machine would work for 2 min and the shut off due to motor over heating...once again i tilted machine and was able to tighten bolts where motor attaches to pivot bracket keeping pulley from pivoting to far and causing strain on the motor and thus making it overheat and stop...several loads run without any trouble.....$28.00 washer repair is much better than having to buy a new one...especially in economic times like these... your website was very helpful, fair priced, and delivered my parts in a timely fashion.....ty

Unplug washer from wall outlet. Removed upper panel and unplug timer wiring. Pulled out recessed tab on back of timer with needle nose pliers to release the knob on front. Sled off timer knob skirt and remove 1 screw holding timer in and it was off. Reverse to install. Be sure to push tab on back of timer all the way with small screwdriver so knob will not pull off.

After some quick internet research I figured the snubber ring needed replacing. I watched a couple of videos on how to replace which was very helpful and I basically followed them to remove the tub and internals. A couple of notes- 1. to get to all of the springs really requires accesss from the back of the machine. 2. there is only one snubber ring, the schematics make it seem like there are two. 3. most importantly, the videos made the spring removal and installation seem difficult. Have someone tip the tub in the direction of the spring you are working on to relax it some. Also if you use your pliers with a fulcrum to pull tension on the spring you don't need the special tool or run the risk of slipping and driving the pliers into the tub. I used my free hand under my gripping hand, a small block would work too. If the pliers slip it only moves a short distance until the plier grips hit the floor - no damage. 4. don't forget the cornstarch on the cone for the snubber ring. 5. the drive assembly has a warning on it about 200 lbs of tension, don't let the screws to loosen the snubber ring come free from the ring they are screwed into - always keep the screws engaged.

I saw that it was leaking under barrel after removing front panel .So I ordered tub seal and bearing kit plus basket and tub gaskets , not knowing that the seal and bearing kit comes with both gaskets, so do not order extra gaskets . So if the leak is above the transmission , I would recommend the seal and bearing kit!!+++ it is smooth and quiet now !

At first, we ordered the drive belt, which was a little worn down. But it did not resolve the problem. Looking deeper we noticed the metal inside the water pump pulley was torn a little. So we ordered it. Received it a couple of days later, and replaced. It took about 30 mins. Now it's working like new.

I followed your advice for the part and watched a you tube video and it fixed the problem completely. . . . I am very happy and will relay this to all my friends. Take the time to check thoroughly what you are doing since the first video didnt tell me that there was a high pressure spring under the ring that held the snubber but I discovered this by watching the video and it all worked very well. Thank you-you saved me $700. 00.

Tilted the machine to remove the belt. The removed the rear access panel, disconnected the hoses and using the socket set with an extension removed the existing water pump. Put the new one in, reconnected the hoses and put the access panel back on. Much easier than I thought it would be! Now the machine is as quiet as the day we bought it!

Exactly like the video told me to! Seriously, I watched once when I ordered the parts, watched it again just before I started the job, and played each step as I completed that step. It simply could not have been easier. Without the video, I doubt I could have located and released the latches on the top of the washer, but seeing not only where he put the knife but the motion he used to spring them made that step so much easier than I thought it would be. With your help, I only paid a quarter of what the repairman wanted to make this simple fix -- Thank you!

Rubber belt was getting shredded. I replaced the motor and motor pulley (because the are one piece), but the metal on metal sound was still there. I then did some research and found out the water pump pulley could be the issue. I took it out and felt the grinding. Decided to try and tighten the screws on it, but the sounds was still there. Ordered the water pump and it was so simple to replace. (talking with my Maytag store this would have cost me over $400 to fix. With PartsSelect.com the total cost was $225.

I followed the instructions on your video - it was very helpful! I would have never figured out how to take the top off without the video instructions. I released the top latches using the putty knife, removed the broken lid hinge & pin and installed the new ones.

Took off the lid unscrewed 4 screws and replaced with new parts. Very simple.

Repair went as described in instructions supplied and YouTube Video "snubber ring". I could not have removed tub springs without putting 72 quarters in springs before removing as seen in another repair video which made removal and reinstallation doable. I still don't understand how this inexpensive part can cause such a problem.
