LE error
Was getting an LE error - locked rotor. From the inside I took the bottom screens apart and discovered carnage - blade worn out, screen worn thru and stuck in the blade. AHA - easy fix, I thought. Ordered the parts, put them in - easy enough. STILL LE error.
Digging deeper found the main board was fried. Replaced that. STILL error.
Ended up replacing the whole sump assembly which includes all the parts I bought originally.

Moral: Pull the dishwasher out and check your sump motor before buying parts. Mine was obviously damaged as the sump had leaked and the motor was heavily corroded.

Some time ago a small, soft, silicone plug from a coffee mug lid came out of the lid during washing and is stuck in the sump/pump of the dishwasher. The pump works fine and drains the washer without a problem, but the stray plug can be heard "spluttering" around in the sump while it's draining. I've had the top of the sump out of the washer but was not comfortable disassembling the assembly composed of the parts listed (m110, m025, m130, m035, m120). Two questions: 1) can this assembly be carefully taken apart without causing damage; and 2) will i need to replace the gasket m035? Thanks!

Hello Don, thank you for your question. Yes, the sump can be taken apart, very carefully of course. We recommend taking pictures of the different steps you take to disassemble it so that it can be put back together with ease. The gasket should be replaced after its taken apart as reusing the old gasket can cause leaks! I hope this helps!

After the dishwaher finihes the complete cycle and drains the system, a small amount of water remains the area under the rotor and sometimes is slightly discolored, I suspect that the pump/impeller may be bad. Yes?

Hello Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. First check the drain pump filter, check valve and drain hoses for any visible damage or clogs. We also recommend testing the drain pump case assembly with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.

In your reply you recommend using a multi meter. I am familiar with them but exactly what elements am I to test with it and what reading should I get when using it?

Hi James, thank you for reaching out. You may test the heating element of your dishwasher. To check it you may follow the instructions below: Locate the heating element of the dishwasher. Open the dishwasher door and look into the tub. It is the thin, circular tube at the base of your dishwasher. It may or may not be covered. If it is covered, remove the lower dishrack, and then remove the cover. Your heating element is going to have two metal terminals. One at each end. Each terminal reaches downwards, into the base of the dishwasher. Pinpoint the area where the heating element terminals extend through the base of the dishwasher. They will each have a wire connected to it. Grasp the connector and pull on it firmly. Use your multimeter to test the heating element for continuity. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Touch each meter probe to a terminal. You should receive a reading somewhere between infinity and zero. However, if the test you conduct produces a reading of infinite resistance (meter needle does not move), then that is indicative of a faulty heating element, and you should replace yours. Similarly, if the test you conduct produces a reading of zero resistance (meter needle moves to the other extreme of the scale), then that is also indicative of a faulty heating element, and you may replace it. We hope this information is useful!

Noticed the bottom of my dishwasher was leaking. It’s leaking under the black rubber coating on the bottom of the dishwasher by the pump/motor assembly but i can’t find any water around it…but it’s dripping water on the very back of coming from the black rubber coating no water anywhere else on the dishwasher. I checked the bottom sprayer, filter, took it apart checked the impeller, and the inlet and outlet water openings In the assembly and they are not plugged…but I can’t get the impeller off to check around the heating element. So idk if I need a whole new assembly or what…but water isn’t leaking around it anywhere just behind it under the rubber coating…I’m baffled

Hello Desmond, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided, it could be an issue with the impeller, but it could also be a crack in the sump housing or with the drain case assembly. Although we do not have instructions for this specific part number, we have included a link to a repair video for a similar part to give you a general idea of the repair. You should also be able to lift the sump housing underneath out and check for any cracks. Good luck with your repair.
