Ice maker will not stop making ice (it doesn't seem to know that it is full). Otherwise it appears to be working fine. Where is the sensor located so I can check that?
Thanks!
For model number KUIC15NRXS0
Hello Gerry, thank you for getting in touch. We would recommend checking the thermistor, part number PS11755741, to fix the issue. The thermistor senses how much ice is in the bin to determine if it should produce more ice or activate the shut-off. The thermistor is located behind the control panel of the ice maker. You may need to remove the panel in order to access the thermistor. We hope this helps!

My ice maker will not stop making ice. I checked the thermostat and it seems to be operating correctly. Would it be a problem with the computer board?
For model number KUIC15NRXS0
Hi William,
Thank you for your question. If your free-standing ice maker continues to make ice, check the sensor to see if it is blocked or dirty. If you leave a scoop in the ice bin, make sure that it is not in the way of the sensor. If it is remove it completely from the ice bin. If the ice maker is not level, it will continue to make ice. If it is not level use the adjusting legs to level it. If your ice maker has an accelerated ice feature on it, see if it was turned on. If it it was, turn it off. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

My ice maker has stopped producing ice. Repairman replaced the pump. When hooked back up, it dumped ice once then stopped. Subsequent attempts to reset/turn off & leave for a while. Each time it will only produce one sheet and then no more.
For model number KUIC15NRXS0
Hi Staci, thank you for the question. We have narrowed the issue down to the following parts: the start relay, part number PS11748862, the condenser fan motor, part number PS1957416, and the control board, part number PS11750683. Good luck with the repair!

Seven year old condenser fan was making noise when it was running.
The process to repair was very simple, I removed the back of the refrigerator to expose the motor area. I then removed three screws that held the condenser motor in place. once it was loose I detactched the electrical harness and removed the old motor. I then placed the new motor in place and secured it with the screws and reattached the

new electrical harness that came with the new part. Once completed I reviewed it to make sure I didn't miss anything. I then replaced the cover over the motor area and enjoyed my success in repairing my own appliance with no added cost for labor, which would have been expensive I'm sure. The part purchased came with clear and consice instructions very easy to follow.

Fridge made noise and the center post was HOT!
We have a side-by-side fridge/freezer and we experienced a hot center post (where doors come together) and the fridge made loud noise. Also, the (old) fan motor would start, but then quit, so our issue was the motor.

What's strange is the new motor is different than the old one, but it still mounted without any required modifications. I did NOT use the wire harness that came with the motor either as it was different too, but my old one was still good.
Check all of your parts as my fan had a cracked blade, but I used "superglue" and it's fine now.
Fridge stays cold and my wife had to lower the temperature in the fridge as she was blasted by the cold!
