ice maker got out of time water frooze with paddle down in the the ice tried to dump and spin (broke ) the timer gear off

turned off power unscrewed all the screw that mount ice maker, used flat head to release the clip on the wire harness, took out and exchanged the overfill wire, plugged the new unit in at wire harness, lined up and leveled ice maker tighten all the mounting screws, very simple repair i am very happy that you still had the orginal (OEM) ice maker, thanks Herb

plastic stopper came off arm

with a mirror to see the small hole on the front side of the icemaker.... very simple, took 1 minute

Ice maker stopped turning out ice

Removed three screws. Removed old part. Inserted new part and reinstalled three screws. Doesn't get much easier that

Fridge door wouldn't shut on its own

Broken drum

I took the tray out of ice maker, removed the screws holding the drum assembly. Dismantling the drum assembly careful as possible and placing the new drum on place of broken one, it still took twice to get it workable. Probably the next time I will follow the instructions a little more closely.

Ice maker stopped working

The repair man came out and said the Ice Maker is broken.He said to call him when I get the part but after looking at the video it took 10 minutes to Install. If you can use a screw driver this part is a piece of cake. Oh don't forget to unplug the frig. God Luck John Bronx NY

Ref door was making a popping noise

New part was not needed, when I removed lower closing cam the lower part of the closing cam attachment screw had worked it's self lose. So it just needed to be re-torqued. That took care of the problem.

water dispenser quit working

Went to parts select and found diagram of parts then found their page that shows percentages of each part being the cause (very helpful) then I watched video of repair (very, very helpful) and fixed the problem. Your company, PartSelect is the best! Rick

Ice shute tabs broke not allowing the guide to remain in place

Water Leaking - No Ice.

I had a wet floor and called a plumber. Then I discovered that there was no ice. Checked and found a broken tube going to the ice maker. Cancelled plumber. Tried to fix the broken tube and caused more leaks. Decided to order a new solenoid. When the parts came I installed the solenoid and replaced a short bit of the hose going to the ice maker. No joy, no water going to the ice maker. I removed the ice maker, and checked the supply tube. It was choked with ice. Removed the ice plug and it now works like it should.
