Sparker would not quit sparking after lighting the gas.
Turned off the gas then disconnected the gas line. Unplugged the AC cord and removed the unit from the counter top. Had to locate a suitable area to lay the cooktop, rather large. The bottom cover is held on by 6-8 sheet metal screws, however, the gas regulator and nipple must be removed also for the cover to come off. I removed the Igniter module screws, leaving the wires connected and mounted the new module in it's place. I then removed one wire at a time from the old and put it on the new part. Replaced the back cover and reinstalled the gas regulator with fresh pipe sealant. Probably took an hour including cleaning the top and counter top.

Broken Knob on The Stove Top
A friend visiting turned a knob on my black glass Kitch Aid Cooktop the wrong way. It goes from High to Low and counter clockwise rather than clockwise. Therefore it has happened many times over the 19 years I have had it. I have had to get replacements a couple of times and it has always been a hassle. This time when I was down to the last one I went online, found your website and without having to crawl under my stove to look for a model # I was able to just match it up with the #'s on the back side of the knob! I ordered a few and it was here within 2 days!Wonderful!Thank you!Karen From Katonah

spark module failure, wouldn't spark.
The repair was fairly straightforward, much easier the second time around. The first part was defective. (irregular spark). I reordered and installed the new one. It works, but nowhere near as good as the original. The problem is that the frequency of the spark on these replacement modules is only once per second. To get technical, the gas as presented to the spark is turbulent, causing several sparks to occur before the ideal mixture coincides with the spark. Needless to say, there is an excess of gas wafting around the kitchen until it lights, sometimes in excess of 20 seconds. NOT SAFE! Our BBQ and fireplace insert spark orders of magnitude faster than this.

The surface burner knob cracked on the metal shaft that connects it to the gas supply. We have had a hard time finding parts for our gas cooktop that is 16 years old and it was wonderful to find the part so easily and it was exactly what it was supposed to be. Our gas cooktop functions perfectly
popped off the old knob and place on the new. Simple.
