Small leak in inner (plastic tub) can this be repaired? Such as silicone or strong sealing.? if not what is a good price on new tub?

I am trying to remove the drive -spin basket, i got the block nut off, but cannot remove the basket. I want to change the block of the basket drive. What can i do to remove the basket? Do you havea relevant video?

Hello Tom, Thank you for your inquiry. It is supposed to just lift out, but the inner tub can be hard to remove if it is stuck on the drive block. Once the nut is removed, you can try rocking the basket back and forth side to side real fast as you are lifting on the basket. You can also try putting some penetrating oil down on the block and let it soak it, then attempt to lift the inner tub off. Make sure the outer tub ring is removed from the top of the outer tub to remove it. Hope this helps!

I just completed a successful repair of excessive tub wobble by replacing all the springs, wear pads, suspension plate pads; primary issue was the counterweight spring wearing the base frame hole completely out (29 years). Took tubs out during the process and cleaned them up well, but noticed that the sealed plastic ring at top of the metal inner tub seemed to have lots of fluid sloshing within it. No apparent leaks/breaches in it, and saw a plug with a phillips head labelled something like "plug not removable". Is the ring made with fluid within, perhaps to perform some kind of balance/brake assistance?

On the diagram for the inner basket (#13), there is a metal post that the agitator sits on and is attached to. I have taken the agitator off and cleaned it. The metal post has rust on it. I have found rust particles in the drainage water from the washer. I could not tell if rust was present in the bottom holes of the washer tub near the metal post. Can this metal post be replaced? I could not find a separate part number for it on the diagram. Is it part of another part? What would the part number be? Thanks for your help.
