The timer was dead
Received the new timer in the late afternoon. Waited until the next morning to work on it. The biggest problem was taking the door apart. the time slid into a bracket and was held on with 2 screws and it's plug. This went like a piece of cake. The next problem was getting the door back on and together by myself.....but I managed it. The whole job took less than one hour.....and the dishes from the night before were given the test run!

Water would not drain.
The washer ran through a full cycle, but the water didn't drain out. I pulled out the drain vent and checked for foreign objects. Also checked at the drain hose/disposal joint and there was no blockage. After removing the bottom panels I noticed the solenoid was shot. Cylinder was burnt up and stuck solid in the up position. I went online and found that a main cause of this can be from the timer causing the solenoid to over exert and burn out. I decided if I was going to order parts and dig into a repair I should replace both. For the timer it is just a matter of unscrewing the inner door panel and unplugging the old timer. Then inserting new one. Couple of things I ran into were the door is no longer heavy enough to stay down so I grabbed a waffle iron as a weight to hold it down. Also will need to unscrew the set screw on the Door lock latch's bottom side. Pay close attention to how it was together helps. For the solenoid I removed the main screws holding the unit in place as well as the c-clip holding the plastic arm. Undo the spring and plug and the whole unit comes out. Reverse these steps with the new solenoid to install.

Water Not Draining
Simply remove the kick plate locate the water drain selonoid. Took two screws out and one spring off.

So easy. Glad I did not hire a plumber.

dishwasher would not shut down, it stayed on first cycle
First I turned off the breaker so all the power was off to the dishwasher. Then I removed the door handle, which has one screw on the bottom side. Next i pulled the timers handle off, just pull it straight out. Next i opened the door on the dishwasher and removed the 8 screws on the back of the door. Next i pulled the door panel apart to get to the timer. I disconnected the three plugs from the old timer, then unsrewed the two screws holding the old timer in place. Put the new timer in, and put it all back together. The new timer works great and it solved the problem
