Pull range out from the wall. Unplugged the old igniter. Took the broiler assembly out of the bottom of the oven by removing 6 philips head screws. Removed the 2 screws holding the igniter & removed. Screwed the new igniter in place , replaced broiler assembly. Got back behind range plugged in the new igniter slid range back into position & turned the oven & it works like a new one.

Knob broke all oven thermostat
If your version of the stove has the square blank manifold tube, this superseded part does NOT work! The instructions that came from Whirlpool are so small and unreadable. I had to scan / take photos of them so I could blow them up to make them readable.
If you follow the instructions to the letter, the part will NOT work in the stove. I had to make several extra modifications and further "grinding" along with moving the screw holes to get the part in; and it still does not fit 100% but it is working.
I called Whirlpool for help / addition information and that was a waste of time, they sent me in circles and gave me no answers.

This part may work great in other models, but it does not fit SF310PEKW0 with the square black manifold tube.

For reference, I actually know what I am doing when it comes to things.

The door handle broke and had to be replaced
I removed 3 screws to take the old door handle off; the screw on top of the door and 2 screws that screw into the handle on the 2 corners of the door inside the oven. Removing the 2 screws lets the outer and inner door panels seperate so you can see that there are 2 retaining washers on the 2 ends of the door handle inside the outer panel. I removed these 2 retainer washers from the old handle; then put the new handle and the 2 retainer washers on the outer panel. The new handle is put on the door by closing the inner and outer panels and replacing the 3 screws.

hinge was rusted and broken, the oven door wasn't able to open or close.
it was abit difficult to remove the rusted hinge because of rust, but after getting it out and securing the new one, I realize I had an even bigger problem. The new hinge was closed and the spring was very tight. After a closer look at the other side of the oven door where the hinge was intact, I saw a hole in the hinge when it was opened. So I opened the new hinge by pulling it open and exposing the hole, put a pin in the hole.I then put the hinge in position and put in the screws. But now the door wouldn't go into position. I then had to put pins on both hinges and slide them in at the same time, locking them into place. This was the first time i ever took out an oven door or attempted any stove repair.

Oven would not come on.
I removed the oven racks, removed the oven floor and the oven burner cover, pulled the range out and removed the small panel on the back which covers the igniter connector. I disconnected the old igniter, removed the two screws holding the igniter in place and removed the old igniter from the oven. Then screwed on the new igniter, fed the wire through to the back and connected the new igniter. Turned on the oven and voila' we have ingnition! The oven is working again but I'm getting the "F2" routine sometimes. It doesn't do it every time but when it does I unplug and replug and then it works. I'm a 67 year old female and I considered it very easy so pretty much anyone should be able to do this repair.

Igniter went bad so gas wouldn't fire up
Removed a cover plate on the back of the stove. Unplugged the old igniter. Pulled the bottom drawer out. Reached in under the stove and undid the 2 screws holding the igniter in place. Screwed the new igniter in and put everything back together. The only tricky bit was reaching the igniter through the bottom drawer opening.
