Error code came up saying the right lid lock was bad. I chose to change both of them.
First move the washer away from the wall, lift the top of the unit up from the cabinet, and tilt it back. Disconnect the wires connecting the lid lock unit to the control panel. There is a single small bolt holding the lock units in place. It connects to the little bumper pads where the lid comes down. Simply remove the bolt, remove the old lock unit, and replace it with the new one. Reattaching the bolt can be kind of tricky because you need to hold the bumper in place so you can get the bolt started but other than that it's easy. Just reconnect the wires and you're good to go.

Lid would not stay up all the time.
Lift the lid and remove the auto-soap dispenser using a coin to turn the four locks. You will see a cloths hanger diameter wire that is held in place by nylon segments. The right end of the wire goes through the right hinge bushing. This is the torsion rod that hold the lid closed. There is a bushing that is on this rod and that is the part that fits into the hinge bushing. Remove this rod assembly by first removing the center nylon segment. Then pull out and the the left on the left hand side of the assy. Then fish it out of the right hinge bushing. Pay attention to how it is removed so you can replace it easily. I then replaced the broken hing bushing by pulling the broken one out with pliers. The new one snaps in. Now look at the bushing that is on the far right side of the rod that fits into the right hinge bushing. It will likely by seized up and corroded. Clean the corrosion off of the outside and use a lube to loosen the bushing so it will revolve freely around the rod. Now put it back together and your problem will be gone.

broken drive belt (nepture top load0
Slide putty knife under top section in the two front corners and lift up top,remove two screws holding front to the sides aand lift out front,lossen 1/2 bolt on the motor that adjusts the belt tension,put new belt on motor first and then slide over big pully, it was a tight fit so I put a little 3 in 1 oil on the top part of the belt to slip it over the large pully and then wiped the oil off the belt with a rag while turning the large pully, tighten 1/2 bolt with a little tension. The lid was rusting so I removed the inner panel to se what was gong on. It appears that May Tag did a poor paint job on the underneath side which began to rust. I repainted with appliance tough up and when I went to reassemble the inner lid I broke the tab off;
I just took more time snaping the inner panel into the brackets on the inside of the lid. The first time I tried to force it and it really is an easy fix if you are properly aligned.

My washing machine stopped working.
I went online and asked a maytag repair man how to fix my machine, he told me that was the part I needed and the link was right there to order the exact part. The problem ended up not being that part and I had to have a repair man come anyways, but I received the part and it was what fit my machine
