I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

This has to be the easiest repair ever done on a kitchen range. I merelt removed three Phillips head screws from the cracked handle and installed the new handle by installing the three screws again. I can't believe I even responded to this survey.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

Your web site is one of the best and most helpfull service sites I ever used. Just wish that in the future you will ship parts overseas.

I found the model, ordered the new seal, it arrived very quickly via mail and I replaced the seal. You simply slid off the old, slid on the new one and hooked it in place. No expensive repairman!

Part was delivered on time, accurately and I removed the old one, replaced it with the new one.

1. Unscrewed glass cover on bulb
2. Removed old bulb
3. Screwed in new bulb
4. Replaced glass cover
5. Mixed drink & baked cupcakes

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

I pulled down the wire around the glass cover. . . Released on end of the wire from its holder being careful to not let the glass cover drop. Unscrewed the bulb and replaced with replacement. Easy, easy.

Used old screws, as no new ones included. New handle for upper oven aligned perfectly with screw holes. Excellent image on website made us believe this would work and it did! We are not mechanical types, but this was very easy. Thrilled to replace the old handle with new one that was exactly like it, though stove is more than 35 years old, and this upper oven model doesn't seem available any more. It is not a microwave!

My Magic Chef is more than 30 years old, after all those years, the stove handle broke off in pieces. I found you online and with your help was able to order a new part which arrived lickety split. It took about 5 minutes to remove pieces left of the old handle and install the new one. I love you, almost as much as I love my appliance!!!

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.
