Beaters thrown away by ex-friend and thief
Received the beaters. Opened package and removed plastic. Snapped beaters into place!! Easy as that. It's too bad that KitchenAid doesn't offer much as far as attachments go. I love my mixer. I am not able to afford the BIG stand mixer so...If I wanted to continue using my mixer, I had to buy another set of beaters. I do have to say that the beaters I bought from PartSelect were of superior quality than the original beaters. Well worth it to buy another pair from PartSelect!! Thank you PartSelect!!

One of the 4 blades on a beater snapped at the top end.
I put the replacement beaters in the designated sockets exactly as indicated in the bottom of the mixer body. Essentially the same as every other time I have used this mixer.

beater came loose at shaft
when mixer was about 1 year old. Complete beater mechanisum cane loose from shaft. Mom was in the middle of baking some cakes, so I took the shaft and beater down to my garage and drilled a straight hole through the beater collar and shaft the threaded it through and installed a screw which after installing I peened over the ends so it wouldnlt come loose. Thie repair lasted longer than the original part by a lot of years. Now the beater became loose on the shaft and was woobelng so I bought a complete new beater assy.
