How to run throttle cable
For model number 322L
PartSelect logo
Hello John, thank you for your question. We have found some relevant instructions to help you with the installation and running of the throttle cable. They may not be of the exact same model, but they will help you with the installation. You can install the throttle cable by following these steps: 1. Unthread the five screws holding the two halves of the throttle housing together. 2. Lift the trigger off and detach the throttle cable from the trigger. 3. Next, loosen the knob to release the air filter cover. Remove the filter and unthread the air filter housing mounting nuts. 4. Lift up the choke lever and remove the housing. Detach the throttle cable from the carburetor. Remove the carburetor and lift off the cable mount. Disconnect the wire connector, and you can pull the old control cable free. 5. Now feed the new cable under the fuel tank, position the cable mount, and push the carburetor into place. Attach the new throttle cable to the carburetor, and keep tension on the cable to prevent it from detaching from the carburetor with the choke lever up. 6. Realign the air filter housing and secure it with the nuts. Reposition the air filter cover and tighten the knob to securely attach the throttle cable to the trigger. Confirm that the short end of the trigger spring is inserted through the hole in the trigger with the hook facing the left side. 7. Realign the trigger on the mounting post and place the long end of the spring above the tension pin. 8. Secure the switch wires and throttle cable in the housing slots, align the right side of the housing, and snap the two halves of the housing together. Rethread and tighten the screws to secure it. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Fixed up somebody's old trimmer they threw at the curb
This trimmer was in relatively good shape. Somebody had thrown it out! They thought they had broke the rewind, but when I ended up taking it off, it sucked right back in. They also must have broke the vibration plate on the bottom. With the screws and plate I bought from here, plus a new head and service kit I got elsewhere , this thing ran like a champion again.
