11062702100 Kenmore Dryer - Instructions

ordered a replacement light - took about 5 minutes, hardest part was disconnecting power and getting into the dryer replace light. The second part was replacing the dryer switch. This took a bit longer, but was completed. The plastic locks on the top were a little different than the video, but once I saw how the one worked (one side popped open very easily) the other one just took a bit of nudging and opened easily too. Now that I have done this, I am not afraid of working on it for other issues. Great helpful site. They will have my business for other repairs.

My husband changed the part but part select was very helpful. With their free repair help site it made repairing a breeze! We will use parts select again and again. I did order all the parts we might have needed and only needed one. Now I will return the others.

Called partsselect on monday and parts arrived tuesday. The repair is simple to do. I removed the lint filter, opened the top of the dryer, disconnected the door switch, removed the two screws holding the front of the dryer then lifting it up to remove. I removed the broken pulley assembly and belt. I installed the new pulley assembly and belt. Then I reassembled in the reverse order.

We found great video instructions via youtube.com to give us an idea to what might be the problem even before we opened the dryer. Then we opened the dryer top and front door and then removed the belt and drum. We then saw that one of the drum wheels was worn and the rubber part of the wheel was warped off. Once we saw what part we needed we ordered them through PartSelect.com since their wonderful instructions helped us out. Once we received the part we easily removed the old drum wheels and installed the new ones...super easy! Then we had to put the drum back in with the belt. The only "difficult" part was looping the belt around the motor because there was a lot of tension. Once that was set we just put the door back on and then the top! I guess the only snags we had during the process was where exactly to remove screws or pry open certain places b/c every dryer is a little different. I just advice people to really look at their dryer and think about how it is held together instead of just unscrewing everything. We are so glad we found the partselect.com instructions via YouTube.com. We were ready to buy a new dryer but fixing the dryer ended up only costing us $30! Our dryer is so quiet now, just like it is brand new.

it was so simple, just take back panel off dryer and remove two screws and relace heating element.very easy to do.alot cheaper than new dryer or repairman.

Removed the back panel and observed the Thermal Fuse at the bottom of dryer.One screw and two connectors and changed the fuse. Problem solved and Dryer working again. Easy Fix and Thanks.

watched the video. Removed old part, installed new one - as per video.pluged it back in and started drying clothes again!

Ordered a thermal fuse . Very fast service (24 hrs)put the fuse in and is now working again

These parts didn't fix the problem. Went to you-tube watch a video on how to repair a gas dryer step by step and which parts to replace. Found out we had replace the wrong parts and ordered the coils and now it works!!! Next time I will watch a video, first then order, this will save us time and money!

You guess that it is the heating element. They are like a light bulb, they do fail. I took the back off the dryer and removed the heater element. There is a temperature switch that needs to be removed. Examining the element, you could see a break in the element wire. That part was broken. The repair went smooth and the replacement heater assembly looked the same as the old one in design. I had to reset the dryer control and the dryer is good again.

I watched the video provided first to get an idea of how it should go. The dryer I have had a different kind of door, so those instructions didn't apply. You probably don't want to publish the way I ended up fixing it, but it did work eventually. Saved me over $500!! Thank you!

Pulled back off the dryer replaced heating element following the directions on PartSelect.com Thank you for being a great website. You also helped me with my 10yr old Washer two months ago. i especially love the how to videos.

I opened up the instrument panel box using philips screw driver and found the repair instructions. Followed the symtom diagnostic page and found that if the machine can be turned on but motor not working then check thermal fuse or motor. Next, I unplugged the appliance and remove the back panel to locate where the thermal fuse and other parts per the diagram in the repair instructions. Using a volt meter, I removed the electrical plugs to the thermal fuse and check resistance (a 1 on the volt meter indicated that the fuse is open (or burned)). Removed the thermal and checked for part number and looked up the model and parts number on the internet. Took a chance and ordered the part. When the order arrived 3 days later, I just simply replaced it and put everything back to where they were. Hooked up the power supply and turned on the dryer. It works again!! One thing I found was that I needed to clean the air pipe since it was totally clogged and probably caused the machine to overheat and burn out the fuse.

Took the old part off and replaced it with the new one.

pretty simple fix not much to it. If you are familiar with electrical work a dryer is just about as basic as it gets. Thermal fuse was bad, swapped it out and up and running again. It took me longer to get the dryer pulled out and cleaned up, than it did to replace the fuse. Wow was it diry back there!
