I followed the video for this part. Opened the front panel. Unscrewed the brace on the bottom. Turned the element housing and pulled out after disconnecting the wire leads. Unscrewed the original parts. Screwed in the new parts. Reversed the sequence and ran a load of towels. It was easy and fixed the problem.

I studied the instruction on the partselect.com site, followed the directions to discover the problem, ordered the part from them, installed it as in instructed in their video, and it has worked perfectly for the past 5 days after doing a mountain of laundry. I took the opportunity to clean my dryer interior from all lint and dust as well as the vent. I suspect lint is what caused the problem after I washed some new flannel sheets which clogged my vent cover outside. I cannot say enough good things about the partselect videos. I'm ready to tackle a few other appliances. One note about the Kenmore Elite Dryer 110 model: Do not take the back off. I removed the screws which caused the steel plate to drop a little at the back of the dryer. Then I could not put the screws back in. To fix this, I removed the screws from the control panel and pushed it forward to reach just inside the top back of the dryer...pulled up the steel plate and got the screws to line up and put it all back together. The only other tricky part was getting the heater unit back in to the slot at the back of the dryer. I finally used a little brute force to push it in far enough, then turned it a quarter clockwise to the correct position. My husband was impressed that I tackled this project by myself. Took off front bottom panel reached in removed part that was very dusty. Put in new part. Cleaned out lint inside dryer. Works like a charm.

My wife did the repair. Went on your website and watch the video on how to replace the switch and she was able to do it herself. I didn't mind at all. Saved $75.00 service charge.

First I replaced the heating element. That did not fix the problem, so I used an ohm meter to test the thermostat and fuse (thermal cut-off). One of those was bad, so I ordered the thermostat/fuse conbo and put those in. The hardest part was getting the wires to the right places. I labeled them with masking tape and a sharpie, but maybe they are sized so they only fit one place. I didn't check. The actual work of changing out the parts was super easy. I recommend testing those three parts-heating element, thermostat, fuse-with an ohm meter before buying something you don't need. I now have a spare heating element and thermostat. I should be good for another ten years!

Remove wire terminals, & four screws, install new parts. Very simple fix! This is the second time I've used Parts Select to fix my appliances. Very satisfied customer!

First I removed the front kick panel to observe the drum and blower to see that both were running. I watched the element inside the heat can as well, and saw that it wasn't receiving a current (no heat, wasn't glowing). First thing I did was test the element itself by removing it from the heat can, and with a multimeter set to its lowest ohm setting, touched both terminal ends to check for continuity. The MM read 0 so it was fine. I then removed and tested the thermal fuse and the relay on the blower in the same fashion, removing them and checking them for continuity. They were fine also. I then moved on to the thermal limiter and relay on the heat can, and that's where I found a broken current. After installing both parts on the heat can, I observed the element receiving a current and the problem was fixed. I've done several loads since then and it is drying better than ever. Problem solved, for now.

My dryer is one of the energy efficient models (HE). The video for the installations was knowledgeable, but getting into the front of mine only required removing to screws from the bottom left & right corner (not using a putty knife to pop the springs). the plate on the front drops after that. Also when taking out the tube with the dryer element in it took a lot more twisting inside the frame to get it loose. Still turn it after the wire connections have been pulled off a little bit better than 1/4 of a turn. Also the heating element was in there really, really tight. It required tapping on the plate with a screw driver and a rubber hammer to take it out & put in (not that tough). After putting it in a 1/4 of a turn so that the tab was inside the blower tube. everything after that was pretty easy. The video showed this all being done in a clean dryer. It has been my experience that before all is running & closed back up that a vacuum or shop vac needs to go thru there to clean things up & prevent a future fire.

My way of replacing the pulley was much faster than the parts select video that showed how to replace the belt tension-er pulley. They took off the door, the entire front AND the drum to get to the pulley. I ACCESSED THE PULLEY BY REMOVING THE 4 INCH EXHAUST PIPE, (ONE SCREW) WHICH GAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH OPENING TO REPLACE THE NEARBY PULLEY! I suggest you remake that video

We only had to tilt the dryer enough to be able to screw the leveling leg in place.The only hard part was holding the dryer steady to screw in the leveling foot.

Tested old part with ohm meter and found no continuity. Replaced old parts with thermal cut-off kit parts. Dryer heating worked.

removed 4 screws. 2 in the back and 2 at the lint screen door. Remove top lid of dryer and looked down and there was the door switch with the broken actuator spring. A diagram of the dryer with part locations is very helpful. I checked the switch with volt meter to make sure it was ok. It was ok! Replace the actuator and put every thing back together and dryer works just fine. Thanks to PartSelect I was able to buy the actuator spring buy itself and not have to buy the switch also.

Opened machine up, removed electric control panel, removed door assembly, removed lint collector assembly, removed and replaced 2 sensor bars then reassembled machine. Ended up not being the problem but, I now have new moisture sensing bars.
