even though the motor pully was invisible to me, i was able to, by feel, thanks to your diagram, install the belt.

Removed front dryer panel removed torn belt and replaced it with the new belt.The job was easier than i thought.

Went on-line, used Youtube to diagnosed heater element problem, went online and PartSelect's name came up-- easily found the element I needed -- the price was so reasonable that I did not feel I needed to price repair. Ordered the part -- part came fast-- no hasles.

I watched your repair video and followed what the repair man said and did, it was a snap! I needed my dryer fast so decided to do it myself. I am a 65 year old female and petite, so I say if I can do it anyone can. Your video was the key to my sucess.

ordered the part late sun. afternoon. arrives ups on tues.am. took dryer apart and replaced belt and up and running in about hour and half. works great. dyrer is about 25 yrs. old.

Sunday, the drum on the dryer quit turning. I could hear the motor running, so I guessed that the belt had broken. I jumped on the internet and searched for Roper Dryer parts and Part Select jumped up. Within 30 minutes, I had a new belt ordered. I received the e-mail with the how-to included and boy did it save me some hassel. I was prepared to do it all wrong until I saw the video. When the belt arrived, it took me longer to gather the tools I needed than it did to change the belt. Thanks

To start off I am disabled so I had my 14 year old daughter to help me.I opened the top of the dryer,disconnected the door button and had my daughter help wire the top open and take off the front panel.We took this time to clean out the dryer for it was quite built up with lint.I then gave my daughter my cell phone and told her to stick it in the dryer to take pictures of the area we needed to work on.I then showed her the pictures and explained in detail how everything worked and what she needed to do.I then put the belt around the drum and she proceeded to put the belt on the pulley and tension rod.At this point we are both filty and both have gotten miner injuries.I spun the drum and it and the belt both spun,we thought GREAT we have fixed it,so we put it all back together,plugged it in and nothing.So we take it back apart,but this time I stick my hand in there and find out she didn't have the belt on the pulley,it was wrapped around the tension rod so I fixed that problem.Then I figured out that she hadn't pulled the tension rod over to its proper place so I do that as well.This time I spin the motor fan in front to make sure we have it right.We put it all back together, plug it in and it WORKS,so we throw the jeans in because we have to be at a B DAY party in a couple hours.The dryer buzzer goes off and we both go to check and the clothes are soaking wet.I open the top of the dryer and the brand new belt is broken.So many mixed emotions at this time I cant tell you how disappointed and upset we where.So she took her jeans out and used a hair blow dryer to dry them and I hung the rest all over the house.So I decide not mess with the dryer for a couple days because of my frustrations with it.We have to do laundry everyday,I have three teenagers,so I have clothes drying all over my house every day.Even went to the laundry mat once $40.00 it cost me.A couple days go by and I decide to see what happend. This time I have my 15 year old daughter help me.I completely disconnect the dryer from everything.We put it on top of A table and take it apart.What do I find?the motor pulley is broken and has jagged edges the shredded a piece of the new belt.As I mentioned earlier I am disabled and am on SS so I only get paid once a month and have no extra money so now I have to wait until the end of November to order another belt and the motor pulley.In the mean time there is wet laundry hanging all over my house with fans blowing on it to help dry it faster.So what was supposed to cost approximately $20.00 to fix is now going to total over $100.00.I do thank you for the speedy delivery of the dryer belt and we had A great time at the B DAY party.thanks

Replaced both drum wheels and belt and cleaned lint out of entire unit. Works perfect again. Great fast parts with super on line instruction if you need it.

Followed general instructions from your you-tube video. It was much easier than expected. We didn't know if it was belt or rollers, turned out to be roller, but since we bought both we replaced both.

I watched the video on utube first, and thought this is a breeze. I'm older and so getting down on my but in the back was what I thought was going to be the hardest part. I removed the screws that held the back plate. Once inside the back I removed the plugs to the heating element with plyers, and the little round thing with nut driver. Ok, what now the video showed where the element just lifted out, mine didn't it was totally encased in the housing. So I felt around to see what was holding it and found a little screw on the backside of the housing, which took some work, and the head lamp so I could see, finally after all that I got the little screw out. The housing for the element still would not come out. so I went back to the video, no help there because the housing on the video just came out and went together about halfway up the housing, mine didn't it was just one piece, so I came here to parts select site and read what other people had said regarding their dryer. I found the information I needed. Thank goodness. I removed the two screws in the front of the lent trap, opened the top of my dryer removed the little Hex nut that held the housing in place, then I went back and removed the heating housing, replaced the element. It was kinda tight, but it fit. I went back to the front put the hex nut back on replace the two nuts in the lent trap closed the top of my dryer, sat back down and replaced that little round thermostate thingy, plugged in the wires to the heating element replaced the back plugged it in and Oh Yeah I had heat. The experience demanded a "High Five" , I felt like a million bucks- this old lady did it herself and the hardest part was having the correct information and getting up and down off the floor. I researched the issue, found a video and ordered the belt, which came in 2 days. It was inexpensive, and I had my dryer back and running in less than 3 days. I did get my son to help me as it might not be that easy with just 1 person (to hold the drum in place while putting the front back on). Great service and great information on how to do the repair.

When we ordered the part we watched the video, to see what needed to be done and both my husband and I got the dryer all ready for install before part came so when the Ups delivery came it took all of 10 min to get it back up and running! I loved the demo video on how to do the repair-it was very helpful. My dryer was different than the one on the video, and I had to make adjustments ( I had self tightening screws on the top and bottom of the front panel and then I stripped the screws)I did this by myself and I had to prop up the drum AND the front panel with items in laundry room.) That's why it took me longer than demo (also had to run to hardware store to get screws). Felt great to accomplish this by myself. Thanks!

I know now that I did not have to get in the back of the machine. Only lift top remove two screws for the front and lift off.The most diffcult was determing how the idler and belt went in but if you hold it in position it becomes to you. Thanks for all your help you run a good ship.

Pull out the old one and inserted the new one.
