This mounting plate is sourced directly from the original manufacturer for use with microwaves. It is a metal plate designed to support a microwave by attaching the microwave to the wall studs. If the mounting plate wears down or becomes damaged, it will cause the microwave to tilt and become unstable, potentially damaging the appliance and the wall it is attached to. Therefore, it is important to replace the plate promptly. First disconnect the microwave from the power source and locate the fasteners that hold the mounting plate. Detach the old plate and align the new one with the existing mounting holes. Secure the plate and check that the microwave is stable and unmoving.

Demo stove exhaust fan and tile backsplash, install over range microwave, rotate exhaust fan and adjust exhaust plenum.

Whirlpool Microwave was purchased as used item, so installation in a new location required purchase of mounting template, wall bracket, mounting hardware. Granite backsplash cut out using wet/dry diamond blade and Ryobi 6.5 inch saw. Microwave exhaust fan removed and rotated for upward exhaust using modified exhaust plenum from existing stove exhaust hood. Installation of Microwave was the simplest part of the job. All mounting materials worked as required. A list of the materials provided in the hardware mount kit would be helpful, I would not have had to order the top mount screws separately if it was clear that they were included in the kit. Microwave Mounting Plate Assembly

This OEM part is sold separately from the screws that are needed to hold it in place. You will need a screwdriver in order to secure the mounting bracket into place. Part has been substituted. Part is no longer a U-shaped bracket, it is now a flat mounting plate and will function the same.

Door locks. Not opening.

Slide a Butter knife at left side by open push knob door will open. Then open all screws from top cover push cover top side front way then door locks Bracket have 3 microswitch pulls out switches mark them top medium and bottom. Remove 3 screws holding brackets will come out. On bottom see a Cam has 1/4” holes can holding Saft broken then install new door lock bracket install microswitch put 3screw and slide Cam on saft . I put a small screw on saft to hold cam on place. There was no screw . That’s why cam saft was broke. Put top cover tight all the screws and door lock fixed. Read more...
