Magic Chef Cooktop Infinite Switch Knob

This infinite switch knob is two inches in diameter and is black in color. This knob has a red indicator line as well as light gray lettering denoting the temperature level and the off, low, and high positions. The switch knob allows you to control the heat of the surface burner on your range. To replace the knob, you simply pull the old knob off with your hands and snap the new one into place. The knob may become old and worn over time and will need to be replaced.

My cooktop knob melted
I had used a pan too large for the middle burner - result: melted knob. Just pulled the old one off (up and straight) and then pushed the new one down firmly. Make sure the indicator line is pointing at you, so the flat side of the spindle matched the flat side of the hole on the knob. Easy peasy.

burner knobs had worn so much you couldnt see to turn them on correctly
i called PS and to get new knobs--but wait!!!!! i couldnt find a part # for the stove top or the knobs,,the PS agent stayed with me while we browsed the entire inventory,,,we found one that looked like the old ones,,the agent sent it,,,it didnt fit right,,,so i called her again and we found another knob that looked like a proper replacement--IT WORKED,,The PS agent then told me how to return the other knob for a refund,,,The PS agent was outstanding,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

igniter would no longer work, it would stick
pull knob off streight out. remove two phillips head screws, disconnect wire to disassemble. To reassemble reattatch wire to replacement igniter, screw in two phillips head screws and push on the knob.
