Over time, the plastic may crack, break, become discolored, or fall out of alignment. It is best to replace the door shelf if it is no longer stable or able to support items stored in it. Had 2 burners and grill - needed 4 burners for Christmas dinner!
I ordered burner assembly AG202MG and griddle part number JGA8200A - the parts arrived in a couple of days. I put the assembly together in a couple of minutes. Now I can cook a full Christmas dinner on my cooktop, and make pancakes the next morning on my new griddle! I can always put the grill assembly back on and make steaks, but with the mess it leaves, I prefer to do my bar-b-que'ing outside. Thanks to Partselect.com the conversion was a breeze!

original light grey color grates stained and unsightly--no amount of scrubbing or cleansers would make them look nice.
Opened the box and took out the black color grates~~removed discolored grates and put the new ones on. Looks like a brand new stove and much nicer to look at as it is the first thing you see when you enter the kitchen.
