The dial under the knob that selects the washer settings stopped turning with the knob after just a few weeks
I had our reliable handyman take a stab at it after he determined what the issue was, and after we'd already tried a new knob and a new clip. Here's what he described as the issue: "Bottom line :the gears are to weak to take any force and break off. They need to be made of a strong metal not plastic. I also believe that the timer gear was binding and put more force on the gears." Read more...

Washer wouldn’t complete cycle.
My washer was not completing the cycle. It washed the clothes through twice but just would not spin out at the end. Even trying to change it to the gentle cycle, still wouldn’t spin out. I could hear it change from the drain portion of the cycle and it seemed like it was going to spin. Then just wouldn’t. And would start to refill again. I ordered the part. Within 10 minutes of delivery, it was in and running.
Took the screws off the top edge of the control panel. Removed the retaining clip for the knob. Took off the knob. Removed the wire harness from the timer. Unbolted the timer. Put in the new time, screwed the bolt back it. Reconnected the wire harness. Slid the panel back up into place. And put the 4 screws back in the top edge.
It was so easy to repair and it’s working perfectly.
