The crisper drawer cover sits on top of your vegetable crispers and helps to maintain proper crisper temperatures. It also doubles as a sturdy lower shelf for extra storage in your refrigerator. If the drawer cover is damaged or cracked, it will not be able to do either of its jobs, and should be replaced. This replacement cover features shallow, wide grooves to prevent leaks and to catch spills. It also has rail brackets underneath to hold the drawer, allowing the drawer to slide in and out. It is made with some added structural rigidity that makes it stronger and more durable than the original. This model measures 24 1/2 inches long x 19 inches wide x 2 5/8 inches deep.

Broken plastic parts
Cleaned the refrigerator as the old parts were removed. Installed new parts as the old parts were removed so as to easily identify the replacement parts. Very easy and wife was extremely happy after old plastic parts self destructed over a period of months and refrigerator was essentially unusable on the bottom two drawers.

i simply did not place that piece back when i put the replacement part in, and now it slides much more easily. the downside is slightly less seal for the meat compartment, but to me that isnt very important because that compartment does not need to be isolated from the rest of the fridge to do its job. meat drawer broke
the replacement part did not have the 3 screw holes needed to 100% replace the part that broke. however, i realized that the piece that fastens to these 3 screws is the slider cover piece (i dont know its name) that has the rubber gasket was sticking every time i opened the drawer and this was what caused the OEM part to break. anyone who has a GE profile with the meat compartment must know what i am talking about - it sticks and is a bit clunky to open (until the pressure breaks the pin holding the gasket as in my case). i simply did not place that piece back when i put the replacement part in, and now it slides much more easily. the downside is slightly less seal for the meat compartment, but to me that isnt very important because that compartment does not need to be isolated from the rest of the fridge to do its job.
