John from Covina, CA
Timer for washer did not work(would not cycle without me moving the dial)
I removed control panel(washer and dryer controls since this is a combination unit) from the front by undoing screws at access panel and unplug the washer/dryer unit,220 volt if all electric like mine and then 4 phillip screws at bottom of control panel- 2 large phillips and 2 small phillips at outer edges underneath at plastic ends this will allow you take off the panel. Then pull panel out and turn over to get at back of timer /cycle control and pull pen back at dial, this will allow you to remove the the knob. I didn't know this at first so I had quite the battle going on removing the knob! Then I read someone elses letter and at the bottom he talked about the pulling of pen on back. If you do this you won't have to replace your knob like I did.Once you pull the knob off there is a small screw just to the inside you will have to remove and this will allow the timer to come off.disconnect the plug and insert new timer and re-install reversing the steps. Replug washer dryer and you are done. Good Luck! Read more...
